to repair it. I hunted for someone to replace my tyre but no one could help me out unless I wanted to wait 2 days to get the job done. So I thought I'll get a quote from Jim' Mobile Tyres. Lijo was awesome. I got an immediate SMS asking foe the tyre size and he gave me the quote. Not only did managed to fit my tyre replacement the very next morning but also during my break before my next class (teaching). He had my spare tyre fitted and balanced within 15 minutes and sent me a photo to confirm all was done. He even checked the tyre pressure of my other tyres and took the old tyre for disposal too. Definitely recommend Jim's Mobile Tyres; especially for EV owners without a spare.

contacted their office to resolve it, but they said: "The job is already done, the best they can do is $450" I caused the mechanic to have to wait while I was trying to sort it out, and he was visibly annoyed. [Name Removed] then made a disgusting insult about my 36-week pregnant partner while I was paying and held on tightly to the key while giving it back to act "tough". If I ran the business, I would be firing him instantly.

My first experience with Mycar was upsetting and extremely disappointing. I called and booked an appointment over the phone to have my tyres… Read more

replaced, and I was required to pay upfront to secure the booking. When I arrived the next day, I pulled over beside the workshop because I wasn’t sure where to park and was hoping someone could direct me. A young man approached, so I explained that I had a booking and asked where I should park. Instead of assisting me, he spoke to me rudely and abusively, telling me I had stopped in the wrong spot and needed to park in the mycar parking area. When I asked where that was, he pointed in a direction but continued speaking to me in the same manner. I went to the parking area, where he had also gone to retrieve another customer’s car, and he continued making comments about where I had originally stopped. By that point, I had had enough. I went into the office and told them I no longer wanted to proceed with the booking and wanted a refund. When they asked why, I explained what had happened. The manager’s response was that the employee was autistic and, while they were sorry, there was nothing they could do about it. It felt like the manager was using that as an excuse rather than taking responsibility for the way I had been treated. I understand that people may have different needs or challenges, but management should have appropriate safeguards and support in place to prevent customers from being spoken to in an abusive or disrespectful way. I then asked for my money back, but was told I had to contact head office because I had booked over the phone. I tried calling the two numbers they provided several times, but each time I only reached a recorded message and was prompted to leave a voicemail. At that point, it became clear to me that getting a refund would likely be even more frustrating than the experience I had already been through. I reluctantly went ahead with the booking just to get it over with. Lesson learned. I won’t be using Mycar again. Reputable businesses take responsibility when something goes wrong, but based on this experience, Mycar’s setup makes it feel like customer service and accountability are the least of their concerns.

I took my car to Midas - Albion, Brisbane for a service, they recommended a few other things be done (replacing some bulbs, new windscreen wipers… Read more

etc), and as I was driving away afterwards, my front right strut seized! It was perfectly fine before I had the service! I called them the next day, spoke to the Manager and asked if it is now seized from being up on the hoist!  (I have a video they sent me of my car being up on the hoist - which showed the struts and they said they are looking ‘fine’!! ) , and he said ‘yeah that can happen’ …. I asked if they can please be fixed as they were fine before / at the time, and he said I would need both of the struts fixed instead of just the right front one, and he could give me a discounted rate of $680 to fix both front struts!  WHAT THE??   WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY AN EXTRA $680 FOR SOMETHING THAT IS NOT MY FAULT - AND THEY WERE ‘FINE’ BEFORE / AT THE TIME OF THE SERVICE!?? I ended up taking my car to another mechanic who charged $295 per strut, plus I had to have another wheel alignment! I just had one done the week before! Sooo not happy!!

SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON YOU My young son took his car to Auto Masters Canning Vale on 04-02-2026 expecting honest advice and fair pricing. Instead,… Read more

he walked away with a bill of over $2,400.

Yes, a battery was included in the work, but the price charged for it — along with the overall invoice — was, in our view, completely unreasonable. As a young driver with limited mechanical knowledge, he trusted the advice he was given. Unfortunately, that trust was not respected.

What made the situation even more concerning was that he was also told the car needed new tyres, even though those tyres had only travelled about 10,000 km. Our previous set of the same tyres lasted roughly 40,000 km, so that recommendation immediately raised serious questions.

After reading through many other reviews, it is hard not to notice similar concerns being raised repeatedly — high bills, unexpected recommendations, and customers leaving feeling they were pushed into work they did not truly understand or expect. Several reviews from women and younger customers describe very similar experiences, which is troubling.

Before the standard response appears saying “we can’t find the booking”, “this isn’t an authentic review”, or “there was a video explaining the work”, let me be clear:

• This was a real visit to Auto Masters Canning Vale • The date was 04-02-2026 • The invoice total was over $2,400 • One of the recommendations was for new tyres at only 10,000 km

The issue isn’t that work was done — the issue is pricing, transparency, and trust. When a young person takes their car in, they should receive honest guidance, not leave feeling like they have been talked into excessive costs.

I strongly suggest anyone — particularly young drivers, women, and families — get a second opinion before approving major work here.

In our view, this was not service — it was opportunistic selling dressed up as advice.

This experience left us feeling that a young customer was seen as an easy sale rather than someone who deserved honest advice.

Booked four tyres from this shop specifically to fit my aftermarket rims and had an in-person consultation beforehand. During that discussion, I… Read more

provided the exact hub-centric ring dimensions required for the install and made it clear that if the parts could not be sourced in time, the install could be postponed.

Even so, the job went ahead. The technicians removed my tyres, swapped the TPMS sensors, and mounted the new rims straight out of the box, only to discover at the end that the wheels could not be fitted without the hub-centric rings. This all occurred right before a long weekend, with the manager not on site. The install then had to be completely undone so I could get my car back, resulting in unnecessary handling of my wheels.

When my wheels were returned, they were already damaged. All four wheel boxes had foot marks on them, and the wheels themselves showed damage that was not present prior to the install, including marks near and on the machined lip. This reflects a clear lack of care when handling expensive aftermarket wheels. The manager later confirmed over the phone that this should not have happened.

While the receptionist was empathetic and did try to help, I did not appreciate being asked whether I had discussed this with the shop I purchased the wheels from. I had already provided the required information prior to the install, and it felt inappropriate to have responsibility shifted back onto me after such a significant error.

A resolution was discussed; they also offered to fix the damage they caused on my machined outer lip and tried to downplay the damage to the body of the wheel that gets covered by the tyres as normal, but in the end, this damage is visible. Based on everything that had already occurred and what was explained to me, I did not believe the proposed fix was worth pursuing, as it would have required handing the wheels back to the same team that had already committed the negligence. I was offered half-price TPMS sensors, which is laughably insufficient considering my $3,000 set of rims was damaged. Saving a couple of hundred dollars in sensors does nothing to address the mishandling or repair the damage, making the offer irrelevant.

I have since taken my car to another specialist workshop, where the wheels were installed without any issues or damage. I am left with damaged wheels, wasted time, additional transport costs, and the inconvenience of sourcing parts myself. Additionally, the manager hung up on me when I clearly stated I never wanted to hear from them again. This was unprofessional and unjustifiable; I was entirely in the right throughout the conversation.

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my Clipped Assist membership purchased through Toyota when I bought my vehicle. I paid… Read more

approximately $5,000 for this membership after it was presented to me as coverage for cosmetic vehicle repairs including scratches, dents and bumper damage.

I recently submitted a repair request for damage to my bumper.

When I first contacted Clipped Assist, I was told the repair was denied because my bumper is metal rather than plastic.

I have since received a phone call advising that the reason for denial is instead that bumper repairs are too expensive and that only smaller repairs are covered.

These explanations are inconsistent and do not match the information provided to me when I purchased the membership.

The brochure provided at the time of sale clearly refers to:

- “Bumper Scuffs up to 50cm” - Cosmetic scratch and dent repairs - Unlimited repairs during membership

Nowhere was it clearly disclosed to me that: - Metal bumpers are excluded, or - Bumper repairs would be denied due to repair cost

Had these significant limitations been clearly explained at the time of sale, I would not have agreed to purchase this product for $5,000.
