"batteries near me" got onto BOGT and spoke to Nick. Turns out I have a special kind of battery and can't get one till tomorrow - fair enough. Nick rings me back later and lets me know they have a battery and can install in a couple of hours. Brandon arrives and with great difficulty changes the battery. Why do they make batteries so in accessible in new cars? I'm mobile again!! What excellent service guys - thanks so much.

via the app. Two days later, I was told the bookings team would contact me "shortly."

After almost three weeks of silence, I had to call them myself. I finally have a booking, but it isn’t for another month. From start to finish, the process will have taken nearly two months. If I hadn't proactively called them to follow up, I suspect it would have taken even longer. Paying a membership fee plus $100 for two dents feels like poor value when the service is this slow.

To make matters worse, I tried to cancel a second membership for a new car I picked up less than two weeks ago. I was informed that they only offer a 7-day cooling-off period. It is quite frustrating that they expect customers to adhere to a strict 7-day window when it takes the company nearly 60 days to actually facilitate a simple repair.

Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have bothered with the memberships. I would have been better off using a local mobile scratch and dent repairer for a faster, more professional result.

My opinion: Not worth it.

first red flag) , no proper premises at all, and then takes my windscreen out , and leaves me waiting there almost 4 hours,(second red flag) with no windscreen ,in an open public car park , no cover at all , next to a park ,and clouds of rain coming . I Called him , messaged him , no response at all until I said I’m leaving without any windscreen . Yeah , I was that upset , waiting and waiting and waiting !!! He made every excuse under the sun , as to why it took almost 4 hours to get my new windscreen !!!! Then he finally installs it and sticks yellow sticky tape all around my windscreen and says leave it on for a few hours !! So if an elderly lady gets her windscreen done with these clowns ,how are you supposed to take the tape off ??? And stop making excuses that your competitors are making these bad reviews. You do a terrible job, just looking at the heaps of other 1 star reviews . What a joke !!! NEVER AGAIN !!! Go with the reputable places O’BRIENS Might cost a bit more , but peace of mind … NEVER AGAIN DANIEL YOU LIER !!!

actually a bit shook up. He suggested I call Melbourne Collission Centre at Mentone as he had a great experience previously. I called their number, they picked up within a few rings and spoke to a 'real' person. They were great, they put me at ease straight away and to be quite frank, simply took control of the situation on my behalf. I was provided with a 4WD hire car similar to mine, newer model actually, in around 50 minutes! I still find that service amazing to this day. Throughout the process I was given weekly updates, sometimes twice a week, with images of my car showing works being done, the overall progress even when inspections were being done. All this helped reduce the stress of it all. And when all was done, the car was delivered to my home just after 6pm when I get home and it is just perfect! If you too end up in the wrong place at the wrong time like me don't hesitate to call Melbourne Collision Repair Centre Mentone they take care of everything. Simply first class.

message that my vehicle was ready for pick up. I arrived at the workshop at about 3pm, give or take a few minutes. I spoke with [Name Removed], the bloke who originally took my booking. I informed him that I was paying via Afterpay. Well, the grunted response to this was rude and unprofessional. I attempted to pay using my wallet which I have used here before, but it would not accept it. No matter how many attempts I made it kept declining. It was frustrating beyond words and at one time I said to [Name Removed]“ keep the car”, that’s how frustrating it was. I left their reception and went to make some calls. I contacted Afterpay to query the issue, and they said there is no issue on their end and could not understand why it would not process. In fact the person I spoke to at Afterpay said it sounds like the business has not activated the Afterpay on their end. I contacted my bank, although this wasn’t a bank issue, and also no issue. I contacted my wallet and again no issue. I returned to their reception and attempted again to pay with Afterpay, again it was declined. At this time I had now been in their office for over an hour trying to sort this out, with no assistance from [Name Removed] at all. In fact he was showing signs of being fed up and annoyed, and said the problems was my end. Just after 4.30pm, [Name Removed] said that the problem was the system, Optus was down which is why the transaction could not be processed. I thought this was strange because my mobile service is with Optus and I was having no issues accessing anything on my phone. Also, a few other customers who had come in to collect their vehicles had paid via the eftpos machine, so why didn’t it work for me. As it was getting close to closing shop time, [Name Removed] said to me that it turns out Optus was the issue, the system was down. What a lot of bull if ever I heard it. I paid my bill via eftpos in reception and was more than glad to walk out of this place. The look that passed between [Name Removed] and his other young colleague said it all. Unprofessional all the way. They thought I hadn’t seen their arrogant look pass between them I felt treated like an old fool and made to feel st^pid. I took the liberty of contacting Optus when I got home and enquired about if their system was down at the my Car Tyre & Auto in Armidale. I gave the address. No, said Optus, there was no issue with the system at this place of business or anywhere in Armidale for that matter. [Name Removed] is a liar.i will never, ever take my vehicle to be serviced by these unprofessional lot again, or buy their tyres. I would rather pay double to an independent professional business than ever use this lot again.if I could give a Zero star rating I would, and I will be posting my experience with this lot on social media too.See less

My father engaged Ace Mechanics to repair his Mercedes and was invoiced for a “New Genuine SAM Module.” The repair ended up costing close to $4,000.

Shortly after the repair, the vehicle developed further issues. When we asked the business to provide basic documentation identifying the unit supplied (such as the supplier invoice or serial number), they were unwilling to provide any evidence of the part that was actually installed in the vehicle, despite charging for a “New Genuine SAM Module.”

My father is a pensioner and relies on access to the boot of the car for his mobility aid. The fault affecting the boot means the vehicle cannot be used independently, which has effectively left him unable to leave home without assistance and caused significant stress.

If the business chooses to respond to this review, I will be happy to attach the supporting documentation from this dispute, which demonstrates our repeated requests for evidence of the unit installed and the business’s refusal to disclose this information.
