It’s also pretty quiet, which is a nice bonus, and the attachments make it super versatile for corners, furniture, and even the car. The vacuum bags are easy to change and not too messy, though they do add a bit to the running cost. Still, totally worth it for how clean it gets the place.

up dog hair any better than a cheap one. Can't be used on loops pile carpet and too heavy for stairs. Someone was smoking something bad when they designed it. The brush is part of the the handle so impossible to get cobwebs. The brush hairs fallout. (Emailed Miele and no reply) The canister is small and have to stop and go behind to see how much is in the canister. Insane design. The turbo brush is ok but hates threads or bits of paper and other things so sweep first.

years, and closer to 15 -20 years might be a reasonable expectation. Great. First and foremost we were after a durable appliance. We used the dishwasher sparingly but after 6 years experienced an F51 fault. On inspection the heater relay was found faulty and replaced with further faults indicating either a PCB or wash motor replacement or both needed. Hefty repair costs meant new replacement. Disappointed that the washer died after what would be 1/3 of its expected life.

appalling. Purchased new replacement dishwasher 30 June 2025, product in stock. Because I live an hour out of Melbourne, it is a street side delivery only with COPE. I tried to schedule the delivery with Miele as I was going away but was told COPE will be in contact. 2 weeks later I receive a photo from COPE of my new dishwasher sitting on my front porch, open view to street. I was not home for another 2 weeks. Only option I had left after exhausting solutions was to return it requesting a refund. I was not willing to risk someone stealing the DW or gaming it after being weathered in the rain. After 1 week trying to organise a refund, finally I spoke to the resolution team who informed me I would have my refund in 3-5 business days. Now I’m being informed my refund will be 3-5 days after collection. It took a week for Miele to collect the dishwasher and now I’m told the warehouse manager went on leave and they haven’t processed it into the warehouse and I’ll have to wait another 3-5 business days. Which really wasn’t assured 100%. I am tired of dealing with this company charging high prices for poor product quality and appalling customer service. It’s been 2 weeks so far trying to organise a refund.

cheaper version was not available. It washes the clothes well but as noted in other reviews it rolls the sheets into a ball, and the water shutoff valve is too violent generating a aloud knock through the pipes. Most of the programmes are stupidly long (some are 3 hours) so we use "power wash" all the time (45 minutes). Problem with this is the spin cycle is too short so the clothes are too wet to remove. This requires running them through a spin cycle which take another 14 minutes and 8 prods at the control panel. This dries them properly but the process is frustrating. Is it worth $2,800? Perhaps we should have bought a cheaper Bosch like our son?

top-loader user, but due to the layout of the laundry I couldnt keep my trusty top loader (my mum makes a big gain - shes going to take it!)
The cycle times on this Miele are acceptable - they will never be top-loader quick, but the cycle length is very reasonable. Wash and rinse perfomance has been excellent. Whites are definitely whiter and I am using less wash additives now.
Of course, I definitely noticed the improvement in water usage, and I do use the Water Plus function for senstive skin in our household.

machines and dishwashers are concerned. However aside being built like a tank there is a perceived reduction in performance over the years (with added programs on average you will never use but have to pay for them) e.g. 1600 max rpm compared to my previous 1800 and 2100. Probably because Miele is forcing you to buy a laundry dryer on top and/or the result of 9kg laundry capacity. Regardless the laundry is wet (or solid damp) when taken out compared to almost dry with previous Miele machines. Functionality is good but does it mean that you have to program everything even if technology allows it e.g. 1ml dispensing setting from lowest to highest values (who uses this type of accuracy), laundry start/finish almost programmable to seconds and definitely minutes were 15 minutes or 30 minute intervals would be as good with less clicking on the way. As a result it takes much more time to do all the settings where personally a low/medium/high setting for detergents, timer setting every 15 minutes etc would do. TwinDos is ok but if you decide not to use it you have to anyhow take care of it so that it does not get stuck - a new way of making money by Miele by selling its own detergents and care products. I really can leave without it and now I spend time and money to run all the cleaning programs that the unit requires. As always with electronics is never works and frequently hangs up. No different for Miele when every couple of settings I have to switch the machine off and on as it hangs up. Manual does not correspond with true unit usage - I had to place 4-5 calls to Miele to clarify the differences and understand the intentions.
Update after 4 months of usage. Miele acknowledge to erroneous software but after 6 weeks of figuring out an update at HQ they finally said that this is the way it should be i.e. regardless of load in most conditions the spin drying is unable to reach 1600 rpm and in the best case settles at 1200/1400 and in most case even under 1200 hence this leads to the fact that I have to run an additional drying cycle qt 1600 rpm adding time to the cycle. I am not a designer of Miele but I guess part of the problem is software but also design of the drum where clothes stick to it and the machine is unable to even out the load. Much different from previous Miele machines. Icons on the LCD panel are so small that frequently you are unable to press them or accuirately select options (timer, load, rpms, additional options etc). Closing door designed that after opening there is residue of washing detergent (TwinDos used hence dosage comes from Miele) or at least rest of waters pours out. Type of lighting used makes the impression that the laundry is dirty or in stains. Only when taking out the washing you can actually see that it is clean. No clue why this has been designed in such a way. Vibrations and noise significantly higher than for my previous Miele machines were you could put a pen upright and it would not fall over. No chance for this with this generation of Miele machines. Cheap additional plastic covering of the drum. No clue why this was used except deterring scalding but then no other machines uses this kind of protection and I find it not only cheap but easy to scratch and overall useless. Generally I am appalled by European service of Miele where the technicians acknowledged observed problems with the machine but when it was sent for inspection I was led to believe (I have mails as evidence) that there are software problems and some mechanical glitches but as in modern capitalism no replacement was offered, no fixes were made and the blame was intended to be put on the customer. Luckily the technicians that installed the machine admitted that some mechanical glitches were corrected (but still the machine does not reach 1600 but at best settles at 1200/1400 final revolutions). I understand there may be a problem with a model or specific machine but what speaks about a company it is the service and support and aside bombarding me with emails to buy detergents I have not experienced good service which simply makes me reach the conclusion the next product will not be Miele (and my entire household is running of Miele equipment for the last 30+ years).

in a cupboard, and attaching a front panel reduces the ventilation, and apparently can reduce its life by a third. As such, like us you could arrive at a decision point (probably with a kitchen designer) to a bit if money knowing you'll need to replace the built in fridge in a few years, or fork out a fair amount of money and go truly integrated.
Miele are a trusted brand, are built solid, and do their thing. Ours is vented through the toe key CK, up the back of the fridge, and out through the ceiling. Built in, it looks great.
The cons are:
1. The fridge is smaller than similar models, as it needs a bit of clearance for being built in.
2. The top shelf has the fan unit sticking out. Not a problem, but it does mean you have to avoid putting things like jam in front of it otherwise it gets frozen.
3. The biggest issue is the freezer. The drawers are small, and aren't on telescopic runners so fall out if pulled out too far.
The pros are:
1. The fridge is like a Tardis.with supermarkets everywhere, I really don't see any need for a larger fridge.
2. Build quality, the hinges are super solid.
3. The shelfs have a light bucket in which lights up the fridge really well.
It does seem a lot quieter than the f&p we had. No more clunks or rattles.

Miele’s website and requested a service. They referred on to a 3rd party authorised repairer. 3rd party repairer diagnosed issue but wasn’t interested in repairing said it was a difficult job. Range hood wasn’t fixed and still working intermediately.
This year, we went on Google and searched the question about the average useful life of a range hood and was quoted 15 years average.
Miele being an expensive premium brand, we expected the Miele Rangehood to function well for at least the average of 15 years at minimum. Well in my case fault started at year 7.
We reached out to Miele this year in 2024 and requested assistance to cover under Australian Consumer Law and was straight out refused. Miele customer service says the manufacturer’s warranty is only covering for 2 years and would not go further to assist. All repairs would be in owners cost.

Compared to all other cooktops & a previous Miele I have used before, this one cannot light any of its burner without holding the knob down for at least 10 sec after hearing the clicking sound. If me releases the knob too soon, the fire jus won’t stay, and the whole process needs to be repeated again. Thus, I still have great difficulty to light the burner successfully in one go, which is very counter-intuitive & wasting of precious energy source & one’s money! The positive thing on this model is its burners have higher power output & hence facilitate the cooking process in some cases.
I am not sure how the engineer had initially conceived & concluded this would be a better design for the users & our environment. This model should be discontinued to save the reputation of this prestigious company.

the machine won't accept small loads, and clothes come out very damp. It comes up with an error code - too small load. This is my week's worth of laundry. I've tried many different cycles / settings, even had a Miele technician come to check it. My clothes aren't heavy or voluminous enough to trigger the sensors on the door apparently. Miele advertise this machine as great for daily use. Considering that its an 8 kg washing machine but can only dry 4 kg (so if you're doing a large load, you have to halve your load to dry it) - it seems odd it can't do my 3 kg of drying after washing it. This was a big expense and now I have to buy a separate dryer. Very unhappy. UPDATE: After discussions with Miele and using the Delicates (1 kg max) or Woollen (2 kg max) Cycle for drying for my small loads as a single person; or using the Warm Air cycle - none gave me anything but damp clothes after the wash. I weighed and tried a 1 kg load and a 2 kg load with no success. Even adding towels into the load to bulk up the volume made no difference. It's been a waste of my time and money. As a disabled person who saw this as a terrific help, it's been nothing but a hindrance. This machine should be sold as family-sized only load washing machine (and remember it's an 8 kg wash and 4 kg dry machine, so if you wash large loads, you'll have to do separate cycles to cut the load in half for drying; or just do 4 kg loads.
UPDATE: I tried Miele's suggestion of different programs like Delicates which 'take' a lower weight… Read more
