Your team sent me a confirmation stating that the money was credited to the recipient’s account on 12 February 2026. However, as of 12 March 2026, the recipient has still not received the funds.
This situation has caused significant stress and anxiety for me. Sending such a large amount of money is a serious matter, and the lack of proper investigation, transparency, and communication from your side is extremely unprofessional.
I have spent weeks chasing your customer service team, yet I still have no clear explanation or resolution. For a financial service provider handling people’s hard-earned money, this level of service is simply unacceptable.
At this point, I feel that WorldRemit is not trustworthy for large transfers, and I would strongly advise others to be very cautious before using this platform.

Zealand, I was unable to find any record of this transaction in XE's app. To transfer the funds to Australia I had to call and was then led through the process to complete instructions (hidden away) to transfer the funds to my nominated bank account. I was told "all good, you don't need to take any further action" BUT a following email advised I needed to pay the funds to XE...?!#*. So another phone call whereupon XE internally and manually their system to reflect the funds had in fact been deposited and then 'released' the funds. In the meantime their system remains a disfunctional mess - unbelievable that I could not see the balance in my account to begin with,and received misinformation regarding the status of the transfer resulting in a second step to have funds released.

asking where it was. As he was two states away, I thought I would send the tracking number to him but before I did, he had lodged a dispute with Paypal. I explained to them that his request was unreasonable and that the goods were on their way. I escalated the dispute to try and make sure that he did not get the goods and also a refund, which paypal have done in the past. Customer received the goods and cancelled his dispute, which paypal said was resolved in my favour. Whoopee doo. Paypal have now put a hold on my account, withholding thousands of dollars of my money????????? My customers like paypal, at least some of them, but I am always chasing their errors. Has anyone ever been able to contact PayPal??? I got in touch with their computer. I had to confirm I was human!!!!
For the amount of fees I pay them, I think I am entitled to talk to a person and get some answers. But I won't hold my breath. Think I will put a surcharge on for people who pay via paypal. They are not good to deal with.

needed to send my photo id via a link in the email. Red flag. The wording and grammar in the email was not good & looked unprofessional, another red flag. Next day contacted WU to establish if emails were legit & if so the reason for such a request. Guy I spoke to said he needed to access my profile & could he ring me in 5 or 10 mins. I said no problem. Never recived the call but shortly afterwards got two more emails advising that to protect me & my money (ridiculous) I could no longer use their services so I am effectively banned from WU. Absolute disgrace.

Wellington. Paid for it by bank transfer and got the confirmation for the funds to be picked up on the 3rd of March at Canberra Airport. When we arrived there at 09h30, surprise, surprise, the counter was closed with a sign saying will be back at 17h30 and a disconnected 1800 number to call. After some searching reached the helpline and basically they were saying, sorry, there is nothing we can do and they were not interested at all to transfer this order to Wellington to be picked up there, someone will be there at 10h30. Not an option with an international flight leaving at 11h00.
Needless to say I never received and email or any other information that the counter was closed. (standard opening times 7 am to 7pm every day!!!!)
I ended up taking the funds from the ATM leaving me with AUD 2000 short, just in order to give my parents enough cash for their trip.
This attitude to customers and the lack of reliability when it comes to funds trusted to them is shocking and highly unprofessional. Interesting when they will refund me the money.
So if you have to rely on someone to handle your travel money in a responsible way, think twice about using Travelex. I certainly will.
