for the plumber to arrive. I was charged $1039.90 to have to copper T-junction pipe cut and replaced. This job took a whole 30 minutes to complete! I was advised that it was not any more expensive being a sunday as they rates are the same any day of the week. I would say he used no more than 40cm in total of copper pipe. We had no option to pay to have the pipe replaced as the water was clearly leaking out. I had already paid the $140 call out fee over the phone by credit card before he would even be booked in to attend. I have called 3 different plumbers and asked what the charge would be for the same job on a Sunday - I was quoted from $350 to $600 was the range. Would not recommend Jims Plumbing to anyone unless they had a couple of kidneys they wanted to donate!!

had already uncovered for him. Didn't look at the plumbing plans I had or care about history of the problem. Pulled his hose out after it got 'stuck' and said it wasn't going back in for fear of damaging it. He did identify point at which it got stuck with a camera (which was of such poor quality that he had no idea what the blockage was. I told him the position of another inspection point about 6m upstream from blockage but as this was under a deck with 'only' 1m headroom he wasn't interested in blasting from there as the limited room might kink the hose and hurt his machine. His solution was to dig up the obstruction point 1m under a concrete path. Left after 35min without fixing problem and charged $440. I hired an electric eal for 1/4 this price and put it down the under deck inspection point. Problem was fixed anddeal returned 90mim later.

Read 100s of scathing reviews and watch A Current Affair about the owner's disgraceful history of over charging and probably worse. How can you work for this guy [Name Removed]? I hope you've gone down along with Mr Emergency which is now in administration.

He tried to tell me that hydro was different to the jetty and that the hydro cost more but that wouldn't completely work in my situation and might need to rip up toilet and floors to find out - what?!! I told him to leave before he wanted to charge me an extra $875 for the jetty and damage my bathroom. To update, I managed to get another plumber in to clear the pipe with the jetty for half the amount and no ripping up my bathroom floor! Although we werent able to get to the source of the leak without extensive work (which was recommended through insurance), Steven was very polite, helpful and did his best to keep fix the issue and discuss the options with us. Crises averted – The plumber came out quickly when the old hot water system failed. They provided options and a temporary hws and installed the new permanent unit the next working day. They made sure it all worked and cleaned up.
