Great job – Blaine from PlumbFirst removed a 3,000lt water tank. Connected a down pipe to a drain that required a dig and removed the water tank's water pump, connecting its piping to town water. All done in just a few hours. Job well done.

metropolitan told me it was a major job and they need to access in through the wall behind the kitchen, remove ensuite tiles to fix. Called in another company who fixed it in under 2 hours from the kitchen side and cost me $350 in total. If it was that easy why didn’t metropolitan fixed in when they attended site???? I have attached the original review and the new repair that Eire plumbing fixed for a third of the price. Metropolitan you should be so ashamed of your lack of customer service and over the top pricing. Absolute money grabbing rip off artists. They should be shut down.

speaker. Booked to come out 25/9 at 12 told give or take few minutes. I live in Perth so had to catch train to Mandurah. Got msg on 25th around 8 o’clock saying plumber arrive in 17 minutes. Had phone number under msg so I called. Spoke to lady told her my brother is very ill and very poor mobility no one able to deal with plumber. I explained that I had told the person I booked with and that’s why the 12 o’clock so I could get there. She said she would msg plumber and also call to stop him arriving immediately (very understanding and helpful) she also suggested rebook we decided 11 would be good. 15 minutes later he arrived. My brother struggled to get out of bed and answer door. He let plumber in showed him bathroom then called me. I asked to speak to plumber and told him I “had made a 12 o’clock time and called the number under his txt to cancel him arriving. He said he didn’t get any contact. The plumber and myself discussed what needed to be done in bathroom he said he had all he needed and the quote would arrive in an hour or so. Late evening that night there arrived a bill for $125 and a very expensive quote. The $125 was for additional time. The plumber was not pleasant and when I told him that the booking was for 12 o’clock not early and I canceled his call out when I received his msg his reply was well “I didn’t get the msg or call” I said everything in the bathroom stays same shower, bath except free standing bath but want vanity on opposite wall as need shower wider to accommodate chair. Oh, need flick mixers for shower and bath. WELL ITS NOT THE SAME THEN. I asked “what do you mean?” more pipes needed. His visit was very short my brother was surprised at what he has done. First didn’t come at booked time(12oclock) Second apparently not getting msg or call to cancel his attendance. Yet didn’t turn up for the 11 o’clock rebook for the same day. Guess some msg do get through. No email address so hard to contact anyone. Will not be using this company…. I have just received an email about my concerns. I was told there was no record of a 12 o’clock booking, a confirmation of date and time was sent to me. I have checked my emails and the deleted (bin) emails checked my text msg and definitely none to be found. The only correspondence was last Friday early which i called the number given immediately to stop him from coming but it apparently didn’t reach the plumber in time. It’s amazing though that when I called to stop him coming early I did rebook for 11 same day but no one turned up. Guess some msg do get through. SO bill for $125 stands. I will be taking further action as this just doesn’t sit right with me.

Google Mr Emergency Plumbing, Metropolitan Plumbing and Upside Down before you call them. Read 100s of scathing reviews and watch A Current Affair about the owner's disgraceful history of over charging and probably worse. How can you work for this guy [Name Removed]? I hope you've gone down along with Mr Emergency which is now in administration.

Never use this company they CHARGE a fortune – We contracted this company to do a small job resulting in two bills plus extra rude people to deal with. There are so many more business that will provide quality service at a reasonable price and not be so rude and incompetent.

return call telling me they could not make the scheduled time and could they come the following day. The next day they spent no longer than half an hour at my place to disconnected a washing machine. Payment was required at the completion of the job and I was asked to pay $369 ! No invoice number or details just a payment request. I had to request a breakdown of the bill to be sent to me which wasn’t really a breakdown but did have an invoice number. It itemised materials and labour as one amount $369.. But the materials were two taps that I could get at Bunnings for $16 each. So labour was $337 for half an hour possibly slightly less! I am very disappointed with how much it cost, how non transparent the charging process was and the way my query of this bill was dealt with. I won’t be recommending The Tap Doctor. vanity waste. I terminated the contract after the tap replacement which cost approximately $1,100 which was done in under 15 min as I did not feel this represented fair value. I declined the vanity repair and subsequently had the leak fixed which required the replacing a simple sealing ring for under $100. I requested an explanation of the pricing, but the response did not address my concerns. As an NDIS participant on a limited budget, clear, transparent pricing and good value are particularly important to me. Based on my experience, I recommend obtaining several detailed fixed-price quotes before committing to plumbing work.
