cleans in my unit. However, I have just noticed that the base of the motor casing emits a small spray of oil when the motor is running. Beware! This spray of oil causes small stains to the carpet and adds to the number of stains you are trying to remove. Make sure you place some type of protective material between the base of the machine and your carpet, else you will create more problems.

timer will show eg: 4.30 hrs, but it will time down to the 3 hr that the basic bread program uses before it starts. I tried to contact Kmart but their "contact us" is not working. Spew'in that I can't use the other programs. I threw the box out the first time I tried bread on the basic setting so I can't send it back. Cont... steamer. Floor steamer worked for a couple of weeks again started steaming on and off. Hand steamer seemed to work fine. I searched everywhere for second receipts and could not find. Phoned local kmart, they said bring them both back and we will exchange. Both meaning I purchased a stick vacuum with second steam mop and stick vacuum won't stay closed. The clip is flimsy and keeps popping open. I now have 2 products that should not be sold, obviously weren't tested long enough. I am totally over kmart products, I seem to be returning everything I purchase, due to faults. I spoke to customer service today to change my email address and was told I could not and had to open another account. This is unacceptable every other company has let me change my email address including my gov. KMart really needs to look at itself and the people they employ. I'm glad we have a big W here.

Instead, I returned it and bought a $10 battery-operated alarm clock, which is easier to use, more reliable and honestly a much better experience.

Where do I even start?

The USB cable is comically short, so the clock has to live right next to a power point. The “nature sounds” are also something special. The stream sound was so strange that at one point I genuinely thought I had a plumbing leak. The birds sound like they have been recorded during some sort of avian emergency.

Then there’s the battery. It doesn’t stay charged for very long, and when it gets low, a mysterious voice suddenly announces “Battery low, please charge.”

The first time I heard this in the middle of the night, I genuinely thought someone was in my house. Nothing says “peaceful sunrise alarm” quite like being jolted awake wondering whether you’re about to encounter an intruder.

And when the battery dies, you have to reset the whole thing — time, alarms, radio settings, everything. So the clock essentially forgets who it is.

The FM radio was another adventure. The instructions were terrible, I couldn’t work out how to save a particular station, and the reception was awful anyway. The manual says plugging in the tiny AUX cable improves the radio sound. When I plugged it in, it disconnected the radio. So… technically, no more bad radio sound. Problem solved, I suppose.

And finally, the “sunrise” function. I was expecting a gentle, gradual sunrise. Instead, it’s more like “GOOD MORNING! HERE ARE SOME EXTREMELY BRIGHT COLOURS!”

After all of this, I returned the $39 alarm clock and bought the $10 one.

Save yourself the money. Buy the $10 alarm clock. It has one job, and apparently that is enough.

pretty good going as the competition is far more expensive. Minor gripe. The Kmart version has a safety switch which my Aldi one didn't which I find a tad annoying but the Kmart version has a light that goes off and on while cooking which the Aldi one didn't (from memory) that I find useful. I only use the oven for potato wedges and while the ones on the top closest to the element cook a bit more than the ones on the bottom - no big deal. Shout out to Kmart who promptly refunded me after my first disastrous attempt to order one of these ovens on-line and after a month didn't reach me! One last thing...when these ovens eventually die you're left with a very large glass bowl that is useful fo all kinds of things.

Excellent Rice Cooker. Love it so much. Lots of functions and have great outcomes.

As a few other people have stated it worked really well - i was impressed - until it didnt. It just stopped working after a few months. Since i thought it was fine i threw away the receipt.

Its congee setting is subpar - congee is better on the stovetop. We tried cooking porridge and it was disappointing. It's also very big, and hard to wipe down and dry. We would have got equally good results for basmati rice from a super cheap cooker (like the one we used to have that had three settings: cook, warm, off).

Took back to store - no problem with changing it, however when I got the next one home and unpacked, I put it all together to find out that the top was split on the new cabinet as well, however, not both ends and not on the back side. One end, at the front. What it essentially means is that the top won't shut down fully on the cabinet, and if I push it down too hard, one of the doors won't slide at all. It's a shame, its a nice looking product, but I can't recommend it. I'm keeping this one, because frankly the idea of taking it all apart and putting it back in the box to take it back to the store is something I just don't want to deal with. It does the job of keeping my shoes off the floor, it looks reasonable where it is, and luckily the side that doesn't open properly is where I keep the shoes I rarely wear. packaging clearly shows 2 heat controllers. Found out the hard way that there is only one heat controller, and one element for the WHOLE blanket.
