a few days we had realised that our kitchen kick boards had extremely buckled. Our kick boards were already faded over time but they were never buckled. Even our buffet has a buckle in a small section. I messaged him to let him know and even an apology would’ve been ok or acknowledgment would’ve been nice. But he called me to let me know that it was already like that before he started. Very rude and unprofessional! I specifically told the technician while he was here that I was not happy with the result and that I expected the cleaning to be substantially better than what I had previously achieved myself using a Bunnings carpet cleaning machine. His response was essentially that “that’s how it is.”

For $350, I expected a much better result from a professional cleaning service.

The frills on the runners are still brown and look heavily soiled, while there is also obvious brown discolouration remaining throughout the carpet. When I raised this with the technician, he told me that it would be better to simply cut the frills off because, despite his 40 years of experience, no professional cleaner can clean them properly.

I find this response completely unacceptable. If certain areas cannot be properly cleaned, this should have been explained to me before the service was carried out—not after I have paid $350 and am left with a result that is still visibly unsatisfactory.

I paid for a professional service because I expected a professional result, not to be told that the remaining dirt and stains are simply “how it is.”

When I got back to the house and saw only 2 of the 3 repairs had been done I asked for a proportionate refund, I was told on 31/7 "I will look into the refund immediately", then on 11/8 we were told we had paid $450 (NOT) then on 13/8 were told 1) we paid $560 which included the underlay (NOT) and 2) that as the work was complete there could be no refund. Busters came up as a recommendation, so I rang, booked and they came out. He tried to get both stains out but it didn't work, so sprayed them and said to leave for 7 to 10 days. After about 7 days I couldn't remember what I had to do so messaged him and asked...no response so went into Stain Busters website and told them and again ignored...yes original red wine stain removed but water stains left and Stain on carpet still very much there...they are definitely not 'Stain Busters'!!!

After much back and forth with them, I was able to collect it from the post office, which was kind enough to accept a drop off like this, and then it arrived like this (see photo). I agreed then was told to use powder to kill any nests when he went under the house would be another $80. I agreed. He used a mask and gloves and sprayed the edges of the house exterior and windows! I went to look at the work and he had puffed a powder into the exterior grates and because the entrance to under the house was again blocked I assumed he had been under the house to use the powder. I tried to pay using my credit card but it was declined by his machine which was strange as I knew I had the funds available. While he was still here I rang my bank and was told there had not been a request and there were enough funds. The problem was his machine. I went to their bank the next day and paid the account. One day later there was a mass of ants on my kitchen wall. I sent a photo the company who delayed their response by saying they couldn’t read my phone number on the invoice of which they had a copy! Ants in other rooms and requested again a follow up visit. I explained that the ants were inside since they had done the treatment but they said that inside was not the agreed job. This went on for two weeks until they ended by saying as far as they were concerned the matter was closed. When I managed to open the access to under the house the operator had not been under the house at all. Sorry for the long post but it’s best to be prepared for their nonsense if you use this company. I have had to use ant baits inside the roof to get rid of the ants that they didn’t kill just moved on. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I paid $190 cash for what was supposed to be a professional house clean of my small 3 bedroom 1 bathroom house. Before booking, I was told the work would normally cost $260 but would be discounted to $210, or $190 if paid in cash. Based on what was quoted, I expected a thorough clean.

I had 2 Indian men arrive at 8:45am and by 9:45am they had left my house and taken my cash. Upon returning home it was immediately obvious that nothing had been done. I have numerous photographs documenting the condition the house was left in after the service.

I contacted the company promptly and showed them the photos. I was offered only a $50 refund. I requested a full refund for a service that was not delivered as promised at all.

Since then, my calls and messages have gone unanswered..

As a result of the company’s refusal to properly address my complaint and ongoing lack of communication, I have now been forced to file a complaint with NSW Fair Trading.

I would not recommend this business at all, in fact I would go so far as to say they are scammers and you will be nothing but left ripped off and disappointed.

Cleaning was poor for an end of lease clean. Cleaner stopped responding. Had to pay for cleaning on the bond. When I called Austral was hung up on by the person on the phone. This company is a scam, do not use!
