experience was the complete opposite. I engaged Jim’s Diggers in 2024 for approximately $16,000–$17,000 of landscaping works at my property following construction of a granny flat. Before the works commenced, I specifically raised concerns about drainage and water pooling around the new building. I supplied stormwater plans and asked for advice regarding drainage solutions, site levels and water management. Shortly after completion, the same area flooded. A rectification attempt was made by adding additional gravel, which I was advised would resolve the issue. It did not. In August 2025, the property manager reported significant flooding, water pooling, drainage concerns and tenants having to place sandbags around the air-conditioning unit. From that point onward, I spent almost 12 months trying to get the issue resolved. Over that period there were countless follow-ups by SMS, WhatsApp, telephone and email. I repeatedly received promises such as “I’ll call you back”, “I’ll be there next week”, “I’ll organise a date”, “I’m speaking to a plumber”, and “I’ll get this sorted”. I also had to coordinate access with tenants and the property manager multiple times. Never showed up. The most frustrating part was not the defect itself, but the lack of follow-through. Month after month I found myself chasing updates, requesting attendance dates and seeking answers. The matter eventually had to be escalated through Jim’s Diggers’ complaints process. Their own Divisional Manager later acknowledged that Aidan had been given “ample time to rectify” the issue and that he had fail to communicate. However, all they did was "mark him at fault in their system", nothing else. The complaint was closed. Nearly two years after the project commenced, the original drainage issue remains unresolved. Projects can have problems. What matters is how a business responds when things go wrong. In my experience, the communication, follow-up, accountability and final outcome fell well short of what was promised. Based on my experience, I would not use Jim’s Diggers again and cannot recommend them.

calls, messages, emails I put a complaint into paypal. They then sent paypal someone else's tracking number for Blacksmith NSW approx 3500 kms from me with a street name nowhere like mine. Australia post said the tracking number was not related to my order. This company is disgusting and will never deliver your goods.

and even emailed where the pvc under my driveway was for retic This got disregarded and they ripped up half my pavers to run another pvc Put the pavers back and before then end of the day they sunk dramatically In the paper work you sign off on before landscaping starts it does say some pavers may be lifted and it’s your responsibility to fix them I had to remove at least 30 and re haunch both sides including removing al the mulch and redoing it If I didn’t re haunch the drive way edges would of collapsed

When I emailed with pics I got the response that it was my responsibility Even after I explained I had emailed and even marked the pvc So I fixed it I fixed all the mulch thrown against my light grey rendor leaving black marks everywhere I think more mulch was thrown over everything but where it needed to go I fixed a fair bit of the garden edging that was either to low or to high and mulch just falling onto the grass And now I’ve fixed 1 pop up sprinkler that’s only been down for 2 weeks And has been playing up since day 1 So they probably knew it was stuffed So although the landscaping is included when you buy the block You get what you don’t pay for I guess And there’s no real excuses for poor workmanship and a bit of pride Just because of the turn over of work you have Definitely would not recommend for anything paying work

Dan turned up nice and early as agreed, was so lovely to talk to and did a great job. He will be coming on a regular basis now.

The company was helpful and communicative when arranging the installation and collecting payment. Unfortunately, that level of service disappeared once the job was completed.

After the first rain, we found leaks from both the newly installed veranda, specifically through the fascia to which the veranda is attached, where there had been no previous leaks, and the downpipe, which had been removed and refitted by the company as part of the works. We contacted the company numerous times and requested that the issues be inspected and repaired. It has now been nearly three months and, despite these repeated requests to have the leaks repaired, they have avoided arranging for anyone to attended to carry out the necessary inspection or repairs.

Our attempts to contact the company have been met with very limited communication. Emails have often gone unanswered, and when we phone them to follow up, we are repeatedly told that someone will contact us, but no one does.

We appreciate that problems can sometimes occur with building works. What has been particularly annoying though, in our experience, is the lack of urgency and follow-up in addressing those problems.

We paid for a veranda and reasonably expected it to be watertight and that we would be properly supported if any issues arose. Instead, we have been left with a leaking veranda and nearly three months of frustration trying to get the company to take action.

Chris and his lads did a great job putting mine and my neighbours retaining wall and fence up. Really quick and professional.

The Coir logs were sturdy and easy to use. The holes for the stakes made it very simple to hold the logs in difficult positions. The staff were informative & efficient. The delivery was also efficient.
