Quick and easy call, the guy was around pretty quick - and he knew what he was doing. A few quick checks and got the car going and advised of what repairs were needed moving forward. Pretty happy overall with how it went.

saved about 40% on each of our policies, with Youi offering more services and benefits compared to our previous insured. The highlight of our 'changeover' of insurance companies was speaking to the Youi Customer Service Officer, Andrew. This person was unbelievable, his product knowledge outstanding and his mannerism to be applauded. Thus far, a very happy Youi customed however, at this stage, we have not had the need to make a claim.

Melbourne if not more!). We had already supplied photos of the damage and after sending the below restriction they asked for more photos of the damage. We asked to cancel the policy, as we couldn't meet their critrea. They then told us they could use our small driveway and they could do all everything, but repair the matte grey paint scratches. This is a clear case of mis-selling of insurance. We would never have taken this out, if they had told us the restrictions upfront and the fact that they don't do matte paint repairs. It was also a huge hassle to cancel this and they then had the audacity to ask us to pay for the welcome pack they sent to us (most of which is to polish a shiny car). We told them to come pick it up, as even if we could use it, we wouldn't!

"Can you please confirm (with photos) that you have a garage or private driveway for the technician that meets these guidelines? If this is a different address to the one on your membership, can you please provide me with the new address? Once I have this information I will be able to process your repair request for you. Minimum 2 metres clear around the repair area Room for our technicians van to be parked next to your vehicle without blocking any access or driveways Good lighting and air flow No other cars surrounding yours Not accessible to the general public Access to power within 20 metres No sprinklers around this area Not in an underground/basement carpark Cannot be done in an apartment complex If you don't have a suitable workspace at your home we could potentially have you booked in at a friend or family members address that would be happy for us to repair your vehicle there or we do have a repair site at Knoxfeild."

Service booked for a valve cover gasket leak, a coolant leak, and a DSC error. What happens after the service? -Rough idle and a check engine light … Read more

-Admitted fault with stripping the bleed screw causing a full coolant dump -Oil leaks from the valvetronic gasket because it was installed backwards (twice!), the eccentric shaft seal, and the oil cap seal (none of which were issues before) -DSC error comes back too! -Misdiagnosed MAF problem - replaced part at my expense only for it not to solve the vacuum leak (the cause of check engine light and rough idle) which is almost certainly the result of mechanic's initial service which busted the seal in the pcv hose at the back of the crankcase - the mechanic didn't bother with a smoke test when installing the MAF (he just cleared the codes and left) -Engine power ends up cutting out multiple times whilst driving - something that has never happened before and which lead to life-threatening situations -Only initial acknowledgment of formal complaint and nothing since then (nearly 3 weeks)

The service happened nearing on 3 months ago. The amount of stress, missed work and inconvenience this has caused has been immense. LM don't care and haven't even bothered with offering to fix any of these ongoing problems. I'm driving around in a dangerous car because I have no choice.

My advice for people who have had similar experiences is to take them to QCAT - don't waste time with Fair Trading - they only have mediation powers. QCAT is at least is costly for them to challenge, and you have a chance to get some lost money back for your troubles.

The whole experience was painful. Only the lady I spoke to over the phone came out with any credit. She was pleasant at least. Aside from that,… Read more

here's everything that went wrong; - no one answered the phone on a PH (is that a thing?) - I was on the phone for nearly an hour before I did get through to someone (next day) - I was told there was additional fees to pay to extract my car (because it wouldn't go in neutral, so specialised towing equipment was needed) — no issue here, as it's written in the T&Cs. - But when the roadside contractor turned up, no specialised equipment was used, and the car was just dragged onto the flatbed. - No car hire was offered in the interim. - Somehow the responsibility fell on me to liaise with the mechanic and contractor as to where my car should be left. Why? - I was charged $110 + what I already pay for roadside for this experience.

Doesn't make me feel comfortable or confident the next time I have an issue.

[UPDATE]: Budget Direct responded immediately through Product Review, asking for futher context on the matter, which I provided. Since then, nothing. They have told me they have tried to contact me (which is just false) and have since closed the matter, unresloved, depsite me trying to follow up.

Such poor customer service all around.

SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON YOU My young son took his car to Auto Masters Canning Vale on 04-02-2026 expecting honest advice and fair pricing. Instead,… Read more

he walked away with a bill of over $2,400.

Yes, a battery was included in the work, but the price charged for it — along with the overall invoice — was, in our view, completely unreasonable. As a young driver with limited mechanical knowledge, he trusted the advice he was given. Unfortunately, that trust was not respected.

What made the situation even more concerning was that he was also told the car needed new tyres, even though those tyres had only travelled about 10,000 km. Our previous set of the same tyres lasted roughly 40,000 km, so that recommendation immediately raised serious questions.

After reading through many other reviews, it is hard not to notice similar concerns being raised repeatedly — high bills, unexpected recommendations, and customers leaving feeling they were pushed into work they did not truly understand or expect. Several reviews from women and younger customers describe very similar experiences, which is troubling.

Before the standard response appears saying “we can’t find the booking”, “this isn’t an authentic review”, or “there was a video explaining the work”, let me be clear:

• This was a real visit to Auto Masters Canning Vale • The date was 04-02-2026 • The invoice total was over $2,400 • One of the recommendations was for new tyres at only 10,000 km

The issue isn’t that work was done — the issue is pricing, transparency, and trust. When a young person takes their car in, they should receive honest guidance, not leave feeling like they have been talked into excessive costs.

I strongly suggest anyone — particularly young drivers, women, and families — get a second opinion before approving major work here.

In our view, this was not service — it was opportunistic selling dressed up as advice.

This experience left us feeling that a young customer was seen as an easy sale rather than someone who deserved honest advice.

If you want reliable service when you need assistance with a car breakdown issue, day or night RACQ is the best service to call I've been with them… Read more

for quite a few years now and know enough about cars to appreciate the friendly service. I've never waited more than 30 to 45 minutes which is not too bad for suburbia.

Recently, I bought a new battery which was supplied and installed by the technician who also reprogrammed my car's computer and it started first pop, and. they also take away the old battery. So I was thrilled about it all.

At other times I've had flat tires from people who place screws under them and have had them repaired on the spot if possible or changed a tyre which was driven on flat.

lI learned a.few.things and easy to pay via mobile EFTPOS. Thanks RACQ

Poor experience with Toyota Insurance claim handling. I lodged a claim for my Toyota Yaris 2023, claim number TI552878, after the vehicle had an… Read more

incident and was later confirmed unsafe and not recommended to drive.

My main concern is the lack of support and slow progress in the claim assessment process. My initial request was for assistance with towing the vehicle, but instead I was advised to resolve the problem myself and drive the vehicle to City Toyota. Fortunately I called and shared my car’s condition to City Toyota before, I was advised to drive my car to Hargrave Motors. I found this very disappointing, particularly given the vehicle has confirmed to have safety concern.

The vehicle was left with Hargrave Motors following City Toyota’s recommendation, and I provided the claim details to Toyota Insurance on 20 May 2026. However, the assessment has still not been finalised. Toyota insurance appeared to outsource to “Adica”. “Adica” stated that Hargrave is not their recommended repairer even I provided communication evidence from City Toyota. “Adica” did not give me any timeline for assessment due. After 7 business days of claim, I called to follow up and they stated that they spotted a typo in the repairer quote and requested for a resent. And they need to review the “revised quote” all over again now.

This delay has prevented the repair process from starting and has caused unnecessary inconvenience. I expected better support, clearer communication, and more timely assistance from an insurance product carrying the Toyota name.

I am now preparing to escalate this matter further if Toyota Insurance does not provide a clear and timely resolution. I am requesting Toyota Insurance to follow up and confirm:

1. The current status of my claim assessment 2. Why the assessment has not yet been finalised 3. The expected date the assessment will be completed 4. Why towing support was not arranged when initially requested 5. What support will now be provided, given the vehicle has been confirmed unsafe to drive 6. What urgent action will be taken so the repair process can commence

Based on my experience so far, I am disappointed with Toyota Insurance’s responsiveness, towing support, communication, and claim assessment handling. I hope Toyota Insurance can urgently improve its communication and resolve my claim without further delay.
