January, to pick up, May, it was an epic saga to say the least. We are one of those couples who do our best in due diligence when checking out products and companies before parting with our hard earned money. The only thing that persuaded us to buy this trailer over one other, that was in the running for purchase, is the draw bar that goes from front to rear. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but it is as far as structural integrity goes, it is a big deal.

The Dominator suits our needs perfectly. So we survived the debacle that was waiting for the trailer to be ready, it took more than 12 weeks, despite them telling us it would only be 5-6 weeks. I had to do all the calling as they never and I mean never instigate contact. They kept asking for the balance of payment and I told them that much like a house being built they would get a progress payment based on where they are in the build process. Being as they were behind schedule we were not paying the full balance. I think this is extremely fair due to their lack of customer service and not being honest about the delivery schedule. The only time they called me was to tell me that the trailer was ready to be picked up and they required balance of payment before we picked it up. We saved more than $600 by picking the trailer up ourselves. So when the trailer was finally ready we drove to Sydney to pick up the trailer, 12 hours give or take a bit due to comfort stops. We arrive just in time to get the paper work and rush in to the NSW version of Main roads and get a permit to take the trailer back to QLD with us. I will give them a little credit as two of the blokes stayed back after close so we could take the trailer.

We have used the camper a lot since owning it, as that was the purpose of buying it. For the most part the trailer is everything we need and a good package. These are the issues though: The piezo was not connected and the water pump has always tripped and the tap at the sink leaks. We have contacted them and I put in the warranty claim for the pump issue. I was told that they don't connect the piezo, ever. I asked why not? I was told that most people just get one of those clicky lighter thingys. So that did not answer as to why they don't connect the piezo, it's the most simple 12-24 volt connection in the whole trailer. I have had to repaint the boat rack as the paint job from factory is [Content Removed]. The so called stainless on the gas struts, actually all the gas struts on the trailer, are rusted. Even the so called stainless wheel arches are rusted. The fridge storage compartment is not really designed for a Waeco cfx95 fridge. After reading a couple of articles here, I think I might have to upgrade some wiring to suit the bigger fridge. The little fan does not move enough air around the compartment to keep the fridge compressor cool (In the process of working out a solution). The kitchen slide out is great but the [Content Removed] plate they have attached next to the kitchen pull out, which houses the connections for: the sink light, a 12 volt outlet etc., is barely attached. (Yet another thing that I fixed) I do FIFO and my wife works a long hard job, she is not confident enough to tow the trailer in to have it looked at, so getting the time to have it all fixed has been difficult. Our last rip away a couple of months ago, to Brunswick Heads, the stitching in the canvas at the side door has let go across a 2 inch section at the top of the door. I am yet to have the conversation with them about this.

On the subject of the canvas, we have never been able to erect the tent straight. This sounds odd to even say it but we have never been able to erect the trailer so that the tent is straight. The tension always seems to sit oddly. We have put it up on many surfaces and cant' seem to get it right. Provided you put the support bars in at the right places the water seems to run off the annex well. We are yet to get the annex put up in a minute, as they claim. The side and middle roof poles are a right royal pain in the arse, due to the way they connect to the trailer tent frame. This is another modification in the planning stages.

The sales guy in Brisbane reckons that the guy who owns the company is super proud of his product. He needs to rethink how the trailers are being built if he wants the people who buy them to be super proud of their purchase.

Ian and Lois were super helpful for the initial purchase (including a few customisations), and quick resolution of some minor glitches after the sale. Highly recommend Trailmaster as a company and the Active Pod as a great option for hauling your camping gear! Update - added the side awning mount and a Darche Eclipse 270 awning and retreat annex for a trip to Lake Eyre via the Darling River run and return via far Western NSW and QLD. The awning mount proved to be an excellent addition and the setup survived a considerable amount of travel on pretty rough unsealed roads.

Incorrect color reading lights, poor workmanship throughout. Particular with the frames on the tunnel boots. Misguided screws. Metal filing throughout. Internal cabinet edge protection damaged. Water leaking from shower tap fixtures. Water in front LED and entry lights. Cabinet draws not aligned. All these areas highlighted and scheduled for repairs at first 3 month service. The van was at George Day for 3 weeks and when calling to see if we can collect, we were advised the van was not ready. You would have thought all these items equipment would have been ordered, and staff organised for repairs. Unfortunately, only one side of de-cal replaced. Not enough ordered apparently. Only two reading lights replaced. The communication with George Day Service was absolutely terrible. Will not be using George Day again for any service, or warranty work.

16, the price was thrown around/discussed many times and we agreed on the price and inclusions after staff made numerous calls to the branch manger to agree the price, I signed the quote paperwork and paid a $6,000 deposit. The next day I received a call telling me they under quoted me and they asked for another $5,000 or I could have my deposit back, after carefully considering their unfair options that we believe they should have honoured we chose to get our money back and we found a better deal on a better van.

So, I contacted their customer service and was advised one of the parts was out of stock and it would be another couple of days before it was back in stock.

I expressed my dissatisfaction as there was no indication of any out of stock items when the order was placed and confirmed. The customer service rep was unwilling to provide any form of discount, etc. Again I expressed my disappointment with their ordering system and overall poor customer experience.

As such, the order was cancelled and a full refund was issued 2 days thereafter.

I promptly ordered all the parts (and more) from another supplier (R&M Marine) at similar or lower prices.

In summary, I cannot recommend Couplemate and will not order from them in the future due to the delays they caused me and poor customer service experience.

this van. Until now, we would have rated Supreme quite highly. Upon receiving our van, it hadn’t been cleaned and wasn’t ready to go.our handover was rushed, due to customers before us, taking too long. Supreme then had to deliver the van to us , days later after cleaning it. Once we had a good look at the van, we realised some cupboard doors were warped , outside latches were a mix between chrome and black ( not all the same) and most importantly above the door, the panel alignment was uneven. ( very obvious). This was brought to supremes attention at the first service. Supreme refused to fix the top panels , they threw in some latches for us to take home and replace ourselves. They also said they would order some new cupboard doors and post out to us, That was twelve months ago and the doors have still not arrived, despite someone calling us, three weeks ago, stating there were doors sitting in a storeroom, with our chassis number on it. Our fridge died in the first three days and we were told to ring dometic and not go through supreme. We feel they wanted the sale, but once this happened, there obligations to us, ceased. Very disappointing.

As soon as we stepped foot into the van where stocked * big oil stain on the mattress * half the cabinet doors didn’t open, broken kitchen draw runner * large random holes drilled through the floor not sealed * large gaps between the floor and the walls not sealed The grey water pipe hanging down so low any speed bump would hit it and any solids down the drain like sand or food would block the pipe instantly. * brake cable pressed hard into the main water pipes and drain. So every bump in the road would pull the brakes on, and cut through the water pipes * interior electrical conduit used under the van so main wires exposed to the elements This was only in the first 10mins of looking at this new $54000 caravan… I was told I was overreacting and if I canceled I would lose my deposit. If this is acceptable condition for a brand new van? I have zero trust in what they would call warranty..
