Love the fact that management responds to all negative reviews and have full details regarding the people who have submitted them who are/have done something dodgy. Reception is fine they are busy so understand that they don't really have the time to greet every single person walking in and out of the place. Have never found any issues. was incorrectly charged for two personal training sessions that I never attended, yet despite multiple follow-ups, South Pacific has refused to correct their mistake. After providing clear proof of the incorrect charges—including bank statements—they continued to dodge responsibility, claiming they "couldn’t confirm" whether they actually owed me money.

To make matters worse, even after cancelling my membership, they continued to debit my account. When I raised this issue, I was met with the same dismissive attitude and lack of action.

This gym's management clearly prioritizes squeezing extra dollars out of unsuspecting customers over ethical business practices. If you sign up, be prepared for billing "errors" that they will refuse to fix.

There are plenty of reputable gyms out there—do yourself a favour and stay far away from this one.

instructors are sick, last night was such night hence I decided to try the Bentley Genesis. I have fitness passport, regardless when I called up a month previous Bentley Genesis said I will be able to try one of the classes for free.

When I called up again last night, the man at the front desk said I must have a gold membership to be able to use all the Genesis gyms, fair enough I wasn't clear that I had fitness passport. Still he was not sure and had to double check. I asked him about the free trial and that I wanted to attend the yoga class at 7:30pm and I will come earlier at 7:00pm as he said he needed to register me for the fob. Lucky I checked the timetable, the class was actually at 6:30pm so I had to scramble to get there by 6:00pm.

When I arrived, he was chatting with 2 ladies and ignored me for several minutes. I was shocked after registration he charged me to $29, I thought I was getting a free trial. I realized after it was for the fob but I actually have not made up my mind yet if I was returning to use the gym at Bentley. After I was let in, I was wandering aimlessly, he didn't bother to show me around. Not a good introduction to Bentley, since I paid for the fob I guess I have to begrudgingly come to use their facilities as well now. Their only saving grace is their large gym with many available equipment. I really hope their instructors are good too to make up for my bad experience.

The facility itself is well equipped and aligns with what one would expect from a premium fitness brand. On that basis, the product offering is fundamentally sound.

However, the customer journey exposed a meaningful gap between brand positioning and frontline delivery.

After completing a short-term introductory arrangement and receiving a discretionary extension from the club manager, I returned to request a further brief extension due to a simple administrative misunderstanding. I arrived in good faith, having already indicated clear intent to convert into a long-term membership.

With the club manager on leave, the acting staff member provided no escalation pathway, no discretionary consideration, and no attempt to retain a prospective long-term member. The only options presented were payment for a day pass or leaving the facility.

From a customer experience standpoint, this reflects a lack of empowered decision-making at the point of contact, particularly in non-material, retention-sensitive scenarios. For a premium membership model, this is a significant operational gap.

Additional observations include inconsistent equipment availability due to machines being out of service for extended periods, as well as general maintenance standards that do not consistently reflect the premium positioning of the brand.

In summary, the infrastructure is strong, but the service execution and customer retention approach do not yet align with the expectations set by the pricing and brand positioning.

For a premium fitness operator, consistency in empowerment, responsiveness, and service recovery is not optional—it is the product.

The gym side is pretty good with alot of machines and free weights with almost anything you could need for a great workout. Although alot of the machines are usually out of order they do have them. Haven't been to a class so can't comment on them but I have heard a few people saying they are great.

I think for the premium price you pay for fitness first the it should be better. Feels like it's gotten to big and forgot about the customers.

first timer I had no support very little was explained to me throughout the process very cut and dry paid good money for a service that provided very little in return more of a money grab then anything else is sexist puts more work into his male competitors on show day he was no where to be seen I had no idea where to go I was left standing around had to message him for help once again neglect and lack of support. I was feeling very unwell that day physically he had me so depleted that what little gas I had in the tank and muscle mass was gone I went on stage still feeling like this unfortunately I didn’t finish my routine he has since then taken no reasonability for his mistakes.

I have cut ties with these people since they made my first body building experience terrible.

I have since then found out that mr [Name Removed] isn’t even qualified to be giving out diet plans which would explain why I was unwell and still nursing myself back to health it’s also been alleged he has been entering clients that are not natural into federations that are. I feel [Name Removed] his wife is not natural and many more I’m sure.

Overall terrible coach for bodybuilding unprofessional cheat that doesn’t have you as his best interest no care factor and extremely sloppy

signing up and the sales person was not able to tell what that amount was in regards of and guaranteed I would not been charged anything than the weekly fee.

When I checked my email it said I had purchased the PT package, I immediately sent an email to cancel the package on the same day and I was once again guaranteed by the staff that it had been cancelled.

I was charged the amount a few weeks after and again I emailed the team which told me they would be waive 3 weeks of my gym fee. That never happened, I asked them again and they said they would prioritise with the billing company. I never heard back, no one ever called me, still normally charged and they pocketed the money. 4 MONTHS of conversation and they are not capable to refund me.

are always badly maintained, dirty, broken, or a combination. They are also the COLDEST place on earth, with fans running full blast in the middle of winter! Promised a refund when Frankston closed (Without notice, I just went there and it was half dismantled!), but after many calls (You can’t call management directly), and emails that were full of rubbish excuses, no refund. This is the MOST toxic business I have ever seen! Go to REVO, it is clean, the staff are friendly, they have heating in winter, and no maintenance issues. They also don’t have constant Gangster rap music going full blast, like Derrimut. Most of the songs played in their gyms have ‘Nigger’ in them, a term I find highly offensive. This was another issue, I brought it to management’s attention, but nothing was done. Derrimut gym also use Spotify free version, as they are such tightwads, which is against Spotify’s user policy.
