surcharge. The order was subsequently cancelled and the purchase amount was refunded, but Sydney Tools has refused to refund the associated card surcharge.
Their explanation was that the American Express surcharge had already been remitted to American Express and was therefore “non-refundable”. I find this very difficult to accept. Having previously operated an online store myself, my experience was that when a transaction was cancelled and refunded, the associated merchant/card processing fees were also dealt with as part of that reversal.
What is particularly frustrating is not the amount itself, but the principle. If a customer no longer receives the goods because the transaction has been cancelled, I do not believe the customer should be left paying a surcharge attached to a purchase that ultimately did not proceed.
I have raised this with Sydney Tools, but up to now they still refuse to refund the surcharge.
A very disappointing customer service experience, and one that has certainly affected my confidence in buying from Sydney Tools again.

These guys still wont give up. Had another cold call from them today despite me asking to never be contacted again. We had an extremely unpleasant dealing with this company including broken promises and deception. We wont deal with them again!

Hi team ☕️☕️ for awake I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service provided by the Global Courier team regarding my Bunnings… Read more
order.
I purchased one queen bed and paid the required delivery fee with the reasonable expectation that my complete order would be delivered properly and within the agreed timeframe. Instead, I have been told that my one bed will be delivered in two or three separate deliveries on different days. This is completely unacceptable.
I am the customer who paid for the product and the delivery service. I should not have to deal with the inconvenience of receiving different parts of a single bed over multiple days, potentially leaving me unable to use the product. This is not what I paid for, and it is certainly not the level of service I expect from Bunnings.
I also spoke with John from Global Courier Service, and I was extremely disappointed to be told that they could not do anything to resolve the situation. If the courier company cannot provide the service that was promised, then Bunnings needs to take responsibility and resolve this issue with its delivery provider.
I have one simple question: Which part of the world is this considered acceptable customer service? Definitely not Australia!
This experience has been incredibly frustrating and has seriously damaged my confidence in Bunnings. A major company like Bunnings should not allow its reputation to be spoiled by such poor delivery service.
I am requesting:
Full and immediate information regarding my complete order and the delivery schedule. A clear explanation as to why one queen bed is being split across two or three separate deliveries. A resolution that ensures the complete order is delivered together and as soon as possible. A full refund of the delivery fee due to the unacceptable service provided. I expect Bunnings to take this complaint seriously and provide a prompt and satisfactory resolution. This has been a very disappointing and unacceptable experience, and I hope Bunnings will take appropriate action rather than simply referring me back to the courier company.
Very very disappointed!

dodgy warranty? They won't print negative reviews on their site either.
Trade Tools Vices,, is there a worse vice than a Trade Tools Vice? I don't think so. They would have to be the most brittle cast iron trash in the market. I have had two of them and they both cracked just out of warranty. I have still got a patched up Trade Tools swivel type sitting on my bench that lets go if you use any force.
This is how their warranty worked for me: About a year ago I bought one of their "home brand Dremel" type tools & the switch broke on first use. I took it back & the guy said you bought this a month ago, & I said "yes" but today was the first use. Trade Tools said sorry we cannot give you a replacement but we can fix it.
So get this, they wouldn't replace it but they got a brand new tool out of a box on display, stripped it down on the front counter in front of me & put that new switch in mine, how slack is that. And then it broke again a week later. I decided to cut my losses & put it where it belongs "IN THE BIN".
When they had their old Trade Tools shop (now Sydney Tools) I purchased a STAR Touch up spray gun which was broken before I even used it because it was manufactured faulty & it would not stop blowing air. It had not even had paint in it when I took it back & the staff member said that was how they were meant to be. I said nonsense mate, please give me another gun or a refund. He said sorry no refunds here, and then he made me wait for just over an hour before he got me another one from out back. He was rude & arrogant.
Last week, "out of pure necessity", I had to go there again to by one of their "Renegade" touch up Spray guns ($109.00 - RI102AG-HVLP), and I also bought two different needles & nozzles for it as well (another $60.00 bucks). I would not have gone there if I had a choice, but due to supply circumstances in Brisbane it had to be Trade Tools unfortunately.
First use, I put 100mls of paint into the reservoir to set it up for painting & it leaked paint & spluttered from the nozzle because the brass nozzle holder in the gun body was not even done up tight so it was blowing air & paint out between the join & before it even reached the needle & Nozzle.
This time I did not bother about taking it back to be treated like a criminal, I just repaired it myself. It now works good enough to be a primer spray gun, but that is all it is good for.
We at TradeTools are sorry that you have experienced… Read more

some quotes from companies. In the end after waiting for callbacks, I decided to attempt it myself. I rang around and discovered that Trade glass depot was one of the cheapest for supplies and gave me all the advice I could possibly ask for. He rejigged my plan, gave me the measurements that were necessary and with very detailed instructions, I called a couple of friends that would be able to help me as some of the glass is quite heavy. I followed the instructions to the letter and I was very surprised at how it turned out. I am very very pleased with the result and I cannot thank Phillip and the guys from trade glass of depot enough.
