This is the greatest lesson I've learned after undertaking 3rd kitchen renovations.

Granite Transformations was abosrbed by Shore Renovations, so it's a whole new team these days and the team at Shore Renovations impressed me from the very start.

They were easy to deal with, design savy, they were there when they said they would be and addressed any issues or concerns immediately.

They even provided advice on ways to reduce the cost without compromising the result.

I would rehire them in a heartbeat.

NSW AND no matter how many times you set your preferred position for the louvres as soon as it rains and the rain sensor operates the system resets to a default opening position of 30 degrees). The absolute worst part of owning a vergola product is the so called "customer service". Well over a week and three phone calls to get a call back and then no capacity to do anything about my request to be able to set the louvres at my preferred position because "that's the way we've been doing things for decades". Seriously unless you are in NSW which is a separate company consider other alternatives before engaging with this organisation and consider carefully your tech needs before being hide bound by their blunt (as opposed to cutting) edge offering.

Overall, the quality of the stone and the installation was good, and we're happy with the finished benchtops. However, there were a couple of issues that affected the overall experience.

The first was that the soap dispenser holes, which had been clearly marked during the pre-install measure, were not drilled before delivery. This meant they had to be drilled on site while other trades were working, making the installation take longer than necessary and creating unnecessary disruption.

The main issue was Adelaide Marble's policy regarding undermount sinks and basins. They advised they do not install them, stating they are not licensed to do so. I wasn't expecting them to complete the plumbing connections—only to adhere the sinks to the underside of the stone, which has been standard practice with other stone companies I've used in the past.

This exclusion was never highlighted during the quoting process or in the paperwork. Had I been aware of it beforehand, I may have chosen to use the kitchen manufacturer's preferred stone supplier instead.

Adelaide Marble did offer to install the undermount sinks for $250 + GST per sink, but without any workmanship guarantee. Instead, I engaged another stone benchtop company that completed the installation for just $60 + GST per sink.

My suggestion to Adelaide Marble would be to clearly state this exclusion in their quotations and contracts so customers can make an informed decision before committing. While the finished product is good, greater transparency would have avoided unnecessary delays, additional costs, and frustration.
