recommendations, and constantly revisit a stock to update its view. Too often these type of services are only interested in giving Buy recommendations, boasting of successes while keeping quite about mistakes and leaving it to you to decide when the situation has changed. The reports are thorough and full of facts supporting the recommendation not just speculative. But that doesn't mean they only focus on Value stocks, if its a growth story or a potential speculative re-rating then they back these views up with numbers. SiV have re-launched there website which has also made a great difference in searching and reading updates as well as new recommendations. The SMS notification service works well but could be improved by separating out the SiV and ECR notifications to separate numbers. Overall I've been very happy with the service. However, as we know past performance is not an indicator for future performance so I hope SiV keep thriving for excellence, acknowledge mistakes and always keep looking for ways to improve.

A failing and dysfunctional small company with weak leadership, a poor workplace culture and almost half of its staff working remotely. Leadership… Read more

appears disconnected from employees and shows little interest in their wellbeing or professional development. In my experience, employees seem valued primarily while they are immediately useful to the business, with little sense of loyalty or appreciation.

Initiative and proactiveness do not appear to be encouraged. Employees who try to improve processes or contribute ideas can be perceived as interfering, while poor performance, lack of accountability and limited proactive initiative, particularly in sales, appear to go largely unaddressed.

The company publicly claims, through social media and email marketing, to have around 25,000 members. Based on my experience and observations, I formed the impression that the actual membership base may be significantly lower—possibly as little as one fifth—and that membership has been declining rapidly. I had a similar impression regarding the wealth management business, where the publicly stated assets under management appeared difficult to reconcile with what I observed internally.

In my view, potentially exaggerated marketing claims do little to inspire confidence in the company's transparency, ethical standards or approach to regulatory compliance, particularly in Australia's highly regulated financial services environment.

The equity research business gives the impression of being in long-term decline and contraction. Its history includes the closure of operations in the UK and New Zealand and a gradual reduction in workforce size, while issues such as inadequate customer service, high employee turnover, a hire-and-fire mentality, relatively high membership fees and reliance on heavy discounting to generate new sales appear to remain unresolved.

Communication from senior management was also a significant concern. One senior manager frequently interrupted employees and seemed reluctant to consider alternative viewpoints. The founder appeared largely absent from day-to-day staff interactions and made little effort to engage beyond a small, select group, contributing to an environment where many employees could feel undervalued, excluded and disconnected.

The equity research offering also appears poorly aligned with current market expectations and competitors. There is no free trial, while the 30-day money-back guarantee is not prominently advertised. My understanding was that management feared this could encourage refunds or attract customers seeking temporary access. In my experience, refunds could also require repeated requests and were sometimes issued by cheque. I found these practices anachronistic, cumbersome and indicative of a shortsighted customer approach.

Membership pricing also appears difficult to justify compared with larger, better-established equity research providers such as Morningstar and Intelligent Investor. I saw little evidence of serious competitor analysis being used to reassess pricing, products or market positioning.

Overall, I found the workplace unhealthy, with ineffective leadership, poor communication and a culture that discourages initiative and constructive feedback. It could almost serve as a case study in poor organisational culture and leadership.

Based on my thankfully short experience, I would strongly recommend that prospective employees think carefully before joining the company. Potential customers should also conduct their own due diligence and compare the equity research offering, pricing and terms with competing providers before making a decision.

Stock Doctor Team has been driven to provide amazing customer service to ensure you maximise not only your investment in them, but your returns and results. The team at Stock Doctor are stable and I continue to work with and hear from the same team members - this stability is amazing and helps maintain my trust. Stock Doctor is not a passive hub for managing company research and investments, however once you grasp how to manage the tools and use their expertise, you can comfortably fly on your own! I am particularly grateful for my one-on-ones and need to call out Victor Di Pasquale who has been a great mentor to me and helped me maximise the way I use Stock Doctor. The suite of tools are fantastic and they help me to consolidate and fine tune my searches and understanding about the financial well being of ASX listed businesses. Stock Doctor Star Stocks and Growth Stocks provide a great place for starting research if you are new to stock investing. The weekly updates and education modules are a must and best of all you can contact any of the team members to get insights on markets, stocks and the economy. Lastly, "Price is what you pay, value is what you get" attributed to Warren Buffett! Look beyond the subscription price if you are willing to do the work because the tools and team are there to help you achieve your investment and wealth goals.

Very poor on several fronts: delays in providing tax information, very inconsistent communication, and fees to punish you if you want to get out.… Read more

I've invested with Superhero since 2023 - and would strongly recommend NOT following my example. They are a custodial model, which amongst other things means you don't get AMIT statements for ETFs until Superhero processes them. They promised to process them 5-10 business days after receiving data (or early-mid august, stated on 2 separate emails), and here we are 20+ business days later at the end of August with nothing. You need these to complete a tax return. They then assured me over email they would be out by end of this week (it is now Saturday, still nothing). These guys have no transparency or integrity, and seem more concerned with their branding than their customers.

When I started investing with them, there were $0 transfer in AND out fees. This was reassuring, as if I had any problems with the platform I could always switch for free. In October 2025, they quietly 'adjusted' these fees and increased it to $20 PER SECURITY. I'm keen to switch to another platform at this point but also don't really want to cough up $100+ just to do so. So, BEWARE. Go with another broker, please, even if Superhero has some advantages. It really isn't worth it in the long run.

sales consultant or sales director of Stock Specialist has overpromised his Active Service package including quarterly review of porfolio, 5-10 monthly trading opportunities recommended by phone or emails, utilizing their portpolio construction services. None of these are happening. I have contacted him for the refund as I did not receive the services after a couple of months. He then advised me the trading opportunities are delivered directly to the platform dash board. This is exactly the same platform I can see as a normal member. I don't need to pay another $1500 to see the same thing. I have emailed him for the refund a few times but like most of other customers making complain - get nothing back.

If the company director cannot keep his promise and provides mis-leading information, your team, services and products are also not trustworthy. I always believe in Karma. Whatever you took from me in an un-ethical way, you will lose somewhere more.

had a huge problem withdrawing my money after I made a small profit. I did eventually get it though. The problem is ,the deposit is easy but if you want to withdraw money they require extra documents which are not straightforward to obtain and they didn't offer any significant or helpful explanations regarding that. They should require those documents before a deposit is made so there is obviously something wrong with the system. There currently seems to be a bit of a loophole. They also increased my minimum lot size from 0.13 to 0.5 and said it is standard practice. That is why I had to stop trading with them.Had they cooperated with me,reduced my lot size and made withdrawals easy,I would have stuck with them. My belief is that they do not like it when you make a profit as they probably trade against you. This will work well with almost all customers but not very experienced traders. Otherwise ,there is absolutely no reason for them to increase the lot size and make a margin call and subsequent loss of money more likely.

I decided I didn't want to renew my subscription, so I logged into my account to cancel. I spent over 15 minutes clicking through every single bloody menu and account setting looking for a simple "Cancel Membership" button. It doesn't exist. They make it incredibly easy to sign up online with a few clicks, but deliberately remove any online cancellation option, forcing you to email or call them to beg to be let go.

This is a highly unethical business practice designed purely to create friction so people give up and get charged again.

I had to resort to sending a formal legal demand citing Australian Consumer Law and ACCC guidelines on misleading conduct just to force them to stop my auto-renewal. I have also paid for my current term upfront, which is valid until June 23, 2026. I have had to explicitly warn them in writing not to illegally cut off my access early just because I refused their auto-renewal trap.

If a digital financial company cannot provide a transparent digital exit button in 2026, they do not deserve your business. Completely dodgy and unethical.
