I would not recommend this site. There responses remind me too much of SCAM websites.
The lenses clearly not installed properly, the frame would creak on wearing them and after about 6 months I was bringing the shopping in with them in hand and dropped them about 20cms onto a bench top and 1 of the lenses fell out. I tried to install it but clearly the lens is too big for the frame. The other lens came out too easy. I tried to put the original raybans lenses that came with it also and they don’t fit either, online reviews of this model say they should simply click in with a small amount of pressure. I’m not sure if they are even the right size for the frame. I emailed the company as all I want is for them to put the lenses back in so they can be worn.
Vision direct did a whole song and dance about how frustrating it must be for me but nothing they can do about it as a 20m “impact” doesn’t fall within the scope of the warranty.
Clearly they want to sell you poorly made products but don’t want to help when there is an issue and suggest that you go seek help from an actual optical shop. So go and pay more money to have someone else fix their issue.
Reply from vision direct: Regarding the difficulty reinstalling the lenses, plastic frames often require specific techniques and tools when fitting lenses. Even a small amount of distortion to the frame after an impact can make lens installation difficult.
I'd recommend taking the frame and lenses to a local optical shop for assessment. Their technicians have the equipment and expertise to inspect the frame, determine whether it has been distorted by the impact, and safely reinstall the lenses if the frame remains suitable for use.

The following is a copy of my complaint, which is comprehensive.

Visited your Oscar Wylee Chermside store this morning, as my frame just snapped by the ‘nose bridge’, at one of the two joints, expecting a replacement or possibly repair.
The personnel at the store front had a quick look at the item and deemed it as ‘normal wear and tear’, hence not covered by their warranty - which in this instance expires in June 2026.
I asked to speak to the Manager of the store, but the Manager is only available tomorrow.
The lady attending to me was reluctant to disclose her full name, although she was wearing a name badge that was sadly facing the other way on her lanyard.
She mentioned that this could happen and I must understand this is the reason “they are cheap”….
Very disappointed as this was my first foray with Oscar Wylee Eyewear. Our family of six normally go to SpecsSavers but decided to try a new supplier.
Specssavers has replaced/ repaired my glasses free of charge in the past, whereas Oscar Wylee has offered a replacement frame at a discounted price of $80.
Makes me rethink of the quality of METAL FRAMES provided by Oscar Wylee and your after-service to customers.
Why isn’t a replacement or repair offered despite it being under warranty?

on my order. However, no responses to my emails from which I put on the order. However, they have replied to my emails I tested from an alternate email address. They are avoiding my order and requests for an update. And they don't have a phone number that works to be able to follow up. Essentially, they've stolen my money and I can't retrieve the funds as the CC I purchased the items on is closed. If you want customer service, then find alternate online stores to buy your products from.

Avoid this online frame service at all costs. You risk receiving poorly made, unfit lenses with no option for a refund or fix. Instead, they blame customers for placing an “incorrect order.” They don't realise they are operating online and customer dont have privilege to check before order and it is their responsibility to make customer happy with the service.
My entire bad experience with this company could have been avoided if they had communicated better and maintained a properly functioning website.
Because of their poor service, I ended up wasting money on rubbish lenses. I had to throw away the lens order and temporarily continue using my old lenses until I could purchase new ones elsewhere.

What I can say about these is that at the beginning of each day they are indeed very comfortable. However, the comfort does not last the whole day at all. Not even on the very first wear. By the end of a regular day, they are very dry and can therefore be more difficult to remove and remain pinched together until you drop some cleaning solution on them to unfurl them. The next morning all is good again.
In contrast, the Bioinifinity contacts are comfy even after 24 hours of continuous wear. In fact, I can do a long hall flight without needing to touch the Bioininfinitys at all. There is no way that could be done with the TOTAL30s. All in all, I find the TOAL 30s disappointing.

requesting a refund for those items and asked for the remaining frames to be dispatched immediately.
After 10 days, I received another email asking to confirm details of my order. At that point, due to the delay, I responded that I no longer wanted any of the items and requested a full cancellation and refund.
My request was ignored, and the next day the items were dispatched anyway. I received three frames but did not receive any refund for the out-of-stock items.
I have since contacted the company multiple times requesting a prepaid return label so I can send the items back and receive a refund. I have not received any response or refund.
Despite the website दावा of an easy returns and refund policy, the customer service has been very poor and has ignored my requests. I am extremely dissatisfied and would not recommend this company.

was too small for my wrist and didn’t meet my expectations. Website states that full refund is offered long as the item is returned in same condition with all the seals. Now this is not true they don’t refund you the full amount they charge you a transaction fee which doesn’t show in the invoice or mentioned anywhere when purchasing and it’s apparently part of the price. They didn’t even know how much the fee was so they had to get back to me. Full refund means full refund. I never had any other business does return and refund where they just randomly charges you a transaction fee that doesn’t even show in the invoice. Misleading here but I didn’t bother because I was trying to understand. Secondly when I returned the item I got a message from the post office informing it’s been returned. I had to chase them up what’s going on. Few days went past and again I was the one that had to keep chasing them up. They didn’t processed the refund because some certificate is missing. I’ve put everything in the box and the way I received the item. I was 100% certain. they keep saying check on your end because they didn’t get it. They went on about saying his not a scammer and there is an easier way to scam me if they wanted to. I’m like what??? And I never called them they are scammer. I just said if you guys not going to process the refund I’ll have to dispute this because I have returned everything in original box. So I had enough at this point because he keep saying it’s my fault. So said to them let me know what you guys want to do because if your not going to process the refund I’ll take further action. they said they made a mistake and found it on factory floor. I don’t know if this was in purpose or mistake but either way it wouldn’t have been good for me because what would have happened if they lost the certificate they would have blamed it on me. Just avoid doing business with these guys. It’s either they are very unorganised or not doing business right.

Until this final unfortunate issue.
I spent over a thousand on 2 glasses at the same time, they sent me to a specialist for likely surgery, saying that I can have my prescription changed using these brand new frames, after my eyes were corrected with surgery. I didn't want to buy the frames until after surgery but I was conned into getting them while they were on special and told it will be no extra cost to have the script changed using these same new frame until I went to do it, not even a years down track.
I was told that I had to purchase 2 brand new frames in order to get the new prescription. I went back 3 times and they rejected my brand new frames which I got from them.
Never again and never will I send anybody there for this reason, only. It has made me feel used and abused financially and these glasses have never been used due to the surgery I had to have after SS referred me to a private specialist the day they sold me expensive glasses.

have a weird prescription and graded focus lenses. The lenses and service were the equal best I've had over 5 countries and 30 years. Perfect progressive shading and focus. Very impressed and I will return. They're a little out of the way but still only 150m from Canberra Centre towards Canberra Theatre.

test, they up-sell you to a retina scan. Another $60. Commit to buying glasses? They up-sell you on frames. They tell you the optometrist has recommended the most expensive lenses which are around $800 and refer to a handwritten note on the prescription. Guaranteed they do this with every customer. They put so much pressure on you it's embarrassing and cringe. To top it all off, they are by far the most expensive glasses retailer I have ever been to. Never again.

screwed properly to the lens. The frame was loose and wobbly, which is basic poor workmanship and quality control. I rejected the glasses.
I was then told it “could not be fixed” and that I had to accept them as they were. When I asked about sending them back to be corrected, I was told it would take two weeks. The attitude I received was dismissive and rude, instead of helpful.
I also asked for the lens certificate (and a certificate of authenticity) to confirm what lenses were used, and nothing was provided. That lack of transparency made the whole job feel like a dodgy job and questionable.
Now I’ve had to go back to my old glasses because the new pair is not usable and does not reflect the actual measurements.
I returned to Indooroopilly because I previously had a great experience, but this time the person I dealt with me provided me the complete opposite service.
I would never recommend this store to anyone.
