When I followed up to raise concerns about how it was handled, I was met with dismissive and unprofessional responses (“we’re not going to agree,” “going in circles”). Mistakes happen. Last month, I brought in my own Gentle Monster frames and specifically asked whether they had experience fitting this brand before proceeding. I was assured they did.

What followed was more than a month of repeated errors. The first pair had the wrong prescription entirely. The second remake arrived tinted despite me never requesting tinting, and the prescription was still incorrect. I was then later informed that the newest lenses had been cut incorrectly and were too large for the frames.

After three failed attempts, multiple trips back and forth to the store, and weeks of waiting between remakes, I ultimately gave up and accepted a refund because I had completely lost confidence in their ability to correctly produce the lenses.

What I found most frustrating was not that mistakes happened — errors can occur — but the sheer number of consecutive errors on the same order, for the same customer, with no clear explanation as to how so many things could repeatedly go wrong.

Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience from a company I had trusted for years.

Expiry is in 8 months and this could be better compared to another supplier I’ve used in the past - this is only an issue if ordering multiple packs to take advantage of free shipping. Price is reasonable. Labelling can be improved as it can be hard to identify which product is which - they use a generic bag with multiple product listings on the back with an expiry sticker in the relevant column. The white print on light coloured bag is very difficult to read. The company should definitely consider using a darker text colour.

13 April 2026

Visited your Oscar Wylee Chermside store this morning, as my frame just snapped by the ‘nose bridge’, at one of the two joints, expecting a replacement or possibly repair.

The personnel at the store front had a quick look at the item and deemed it as ‘normal wear and tear’, hence not covered by their warranty - which in this instance expires in June 2026.

I asked to speak to the Manager of the store, but the Manager is only available tomorrow.

The lady attending to me was reluctant to disclose her full name, although she was wearing a name badge that was sadly facing the other way on her lanyard.

She mentioned that this could happen and I must understand this is the reason “they are cheap”….

Very disappointed as this was my first foray with Oscar Wylee Eyewear. Our family of six normally go to SpecsSavers but decided to try a new supplier.

Specssavers has replaced/ repaired my glasses free of charge in the past, whereas Oscar Wylee has offered a replacement frame at a discounted price of $80.

Makes me rethink of the quality of METAL FRAMES provided by Oscar Wylee and your after-service to customers.

I bought it specifically for the chocolate hazelnut flavour because I wanted something different from the usual plain chocolate proteins, but honestly the flavour just isn’t there. The smell has a nice hazelnut scent, but the actual taste is extremely weak and mostly just tastes like a very mild chocolate protein.

I even mixed it with 300ml milk and 300ml water to try and get the full flavour experience, and I could honestly taste the milk more than the protein powder itself.

To make it enjoyable, I’ve had to start adding cocoa/cacao powder for extra flavour, which kind of defeats the purpose of buying a flavoured protein in the first place.

It mixes fine and the macros are excellent, but if you’re buying this mainly for the choc hazelnut flavour, just be aware it’s very subtle.

The product did not work for me. Tried on two seperate occasions. Appetite was still there, weight didn't budge.

Ordered and never got my Products – Ordered in Dec 2019 and never got my order. Followed up a few times but now company website is gone and the email is being blocked. It is an utter disgrace, very unhappy and disappointed. Utter waste of money.

They are avoiding my order and requests for an update. And they don't have a phone number that works to be able to follow up. Essentially, they've stolen my money and I can't retrieve the funds as the CC I purchased the items on is closed. Avoid this online frame service at all costs. You risk receiving poorly made, unfit lenses with no option for a refund or fix. Instead, they blame customers for placing an “incorrect order.” They don't realise they are operating online and customer dont have privilege to check before order and it is their responsibility to make customer happy with the service.

My entire bad experience with this company could have been avoided if they had communicated better and maintained a properly functioning website.

Because of their poor service, I ended up wasting money on rubbish lenses. I had to throw away the lens order and temporarily continue using my old lenses until I could purchase new ones elsewhere.

communicated fantastically, following up on any questions and throughout the process making sure that I was comfortable with my options and expedited getting my lenses made in lieu of me posting my frames down to Sydney once I'd decided and paid for my lenses. Given it was the Christmas/ New Year period - where everyone wants a break - Supriya stayed in contact to confirm delivery times and was most pleasant to deal with throughout the process!! What an asset Supriya is to your company - Professional, Customer focused, Great Communication, a really positive experience - and great lenses!! Stoked that I decided to relense my existing glasses, and stoked that with the result from Optically - Cheaper than getting new glasses and lenses and I can see again using my favorite glasses!! What I can say about these is that at the beginning of each day they are indeed very comfortable. However, the comfort does not last the whole day at all. Not even on the very first wear. By the end of a regular day, they are very dry and can therefore be more difficult to remove and remain pinched together until you drop some cleaning solution on them to unfurl them. The next morning all is good again.

In contrast, the Bioinifinity contacts are comfy even after 24 hours of continuous wear. In fact, I can do a long hall flight without needing to touch the Bioininfinitys at all. There is no way that could be done with the TOTAL30s. All in all, I find the TOAL 30s disappointing.
