The item was never sent to me. It had not shipped. It was not in transit. I never received anything. So what exactly are they “restocking”?

In my view, this is poor and misleading customer service. If an item is not physically in stock and ready to dispatch, that should be made extremely clear before payment, not discovered afterwards.

I would avoid ordering unless you call first and get written confirmation that the product is physically in stock. Otherwise you may be charged a cancellation/restocking fee for an item they never supplied.
