than renew! Repairman said it very common with this frig. So just hope the replacement (similar) model will last longer than 6 years. prior to it failing the performance was ok, keeping drinks quite cool was the main function.

as the labour cost are huge, so effectively you are forced to by a new fridge. The Westinghouse/Electrolux customer service I experienced was the worst I have ever dealt with. Terrible communication and zero empathy. I will never buy Westinghouse or Electrolux again as they belong to the same group and are useless. The products cost a lot and don't last. Not long before my fridge died, my Electrolux microwave died just outside of warranty and I had the replace that too. Clearly they are not making anything to last anymore. All I can say is stay away from Westinghouse and Electrolux!

had completely melted and fridge section was not cold either. Lucky had a very freezer in the shed so got that out and cleaned and most of the meats, etc placed in there. Moved majority of fridge items into 2 esky's and have had to purchase ice. Unfortunately contacting Westinghouse/Electrolux customer section only to be advised that they could not do anything and that I would need to get it repaired/assessed. Not professional and when you pay a large amount of money for a product that should last at least 10 years if well looked after and cleaned. Unfortunately been the end of the week after calling a dozen technicians earliest I could get technicians out was not until Monday or paying very expensive call out fees for the weekend. A couple of technicians after discussions advised that this particular fridge/model has had many issues and I would be paying close to 1000 minimum whether it was electrical, compressor, leak, etc with labour, call out and parts. they recommended it was best just to purchase a new fridge. Went and did that Friday afternoon but earliest I could get delivery for a new fridge in Adelaide was Monday.
After the majority of reviews I have seen, I would recommend that this product does not last for what should be a lifetime of 10 years, especially with cost of living. Will be looking at contacting Consumer Affairs about this.

This one is more superior in design, functionality and appearance, just hope it matches the life expectancy of my old fridge.
This fridge is fantastic value considering the quality and features, such as: - the brushed stainless steel finish, worth the extra cost for its elegant look and easy cleaning. - very spacious interior with a generous height between the adjustable clear glass shelves that enable placing various sized containers or food items anywhere and still be easily seen wherever they are. - functions efficiently throughout without freezing any food placed at the back of the fridge. - being handles free, the fridge looks seamless and there’s no risk of handles breaking off. - no annoying alarm if the fridge door is left open for longer than the manufacturer’s deemed correct time. - brilliant operations – no noise from motor running, doors close gently, large crisper glides smoothly, generous bottle and container compartments. - the rear rollers make it easy to move the fridge for cleaning or placing it elsewhere. - the 2 year warranty is peace of mind and shows the manufacturer’s confidence in the product.
After two months of use, I love everything about the fridge but think it would have been helpful if there was lighting in the freezer section as well but not a deal breaker for me. Feedback from my friends and family has all been very positive.
Buying from AppliancesOnline couldn’t have been easier with next day delivery, the special sale price of $1,241 included cost of delivery, free connection and removal of my old fridge. The delivery guys kept me fully informed about arrival time, they were friendly, courteous and when finished, they took the packaging with them. I highly recommend AppliancesOnline and have and will continue praising them to my friends and family.

after 4 years, service claims it needs both drain hose and inlet hose replaced (my plumber had previously assessed it and said only drain hose was the issue). Service quotes repair costs of around 50% of machine value and refuses to install it (i.e. plug it back in and put the hose back) after repairs claiming that is a separate service. I would never buy a product from this brand again. Both the build quality of their product and support provided has been miserable. Machine will now sadly go into land fill as I will replace with another brand.

size space for me as a single person, would also be ok for a small family. There are only a few issues i had which is why i did not give 5 stars. Firstly it is quite noisy, i haven't found it unbearable like some people have said, but its definitely noticeable. Eg if i am standing in the kitchen only about 8 meters away i can't hear the TV when if it starts on one of its cycles, i have to turn the TV up to a much louder level. The second thing is the ice tray, in the last 6mths it has started to get a strong smell about it, almost like a gas smell. I have tried washing it & it has not helped, so if i will have to buy a replacement which costs $44. And thirdly, the temperature control slides are not really located in a convenient space, but that is probably the case with alot of fridges. This is a discontinued model but if you're looking to buy it second hand take these things into consideration & ask for a bargain price.

although could be a touch colder. This is a well-made unit. Slightly noisier than expected but not problematic I found. It’s only a 211 L fridge however there’s plenty of space with flexible storage options internally. Just does what you want to do, and does it well.

have offered me a pro rata price in a new freezer but at $1100 and a 4 week wait for delivery (after already waiting 2 weeks for service and an outcome) is not good enough. I specifically bought Westinghouse as it is meant to be a reliable brand. Spending almost $2000 on a freezer should last longer than 6yrs. I don't think I will pay $1100 for a replacement as why would I trust it again, I see others have had similar issues with it failing just outside warranty. Maybe I'm better off spending under $1000 on a Hisense. Apparently the brand Westinghouse doesn't mean quality anymore.

out and tell me that they’re only built to last that long and 90% need to be replaced once they stop working and can’t be fixed. Wish someone had told me when I booked the service, I could’ve saved $145. Also said none of them are designed to last longer so just as good to get a cheap one instead of a more expensive one.

of the time it will not complete the spin cycle and my clothes are sopping wet. I had a technician come out today who was very rude and said it was my fault for not balancing the load and putting heavy things in there which I can assure you I’m not. If this machine cannot handle regular clothes and underwear in a load it is not fit for purpose. I think the best place for this machine is my curb. Off to research a new machine from a better brand! Stay away! You might be ok with one of these machine but if something goes wrong it’ll be your fault apparently!

frosty/ icy. Then it would melted and leak into the two snack draws below. Then the fridge would beep saying HI temp and we couldn’t work out why. Then water would leak down from the ice dispenser and leak all of the floor. During these changes there was also strange noises coming from the fan motor at the back of the fridge. Seemed like something was stuck in the blade. Called Westinghouse tech and nothing could be booked for months; so we called a refrigerator mechanic to check it out. He removed the back panel of fridge where fan sat and saw it has frozen over, caused the fan to stop working and cooling the fridge. worked reasonably for 6 months then same problem has occurred x3 times over next 2 years (roughly 6 months apart)
This fridge freezer is meant to be a frost free and goes through automatic defrost . It’s so frustrating. Had to get rid of so much food on several occasions. Fruit and veg freezes and then it spoils. Who else has had this issue? What else can we do besides getting it serviced every 6 months?
Aren’t these fridges meant to last at least 10 + years. Seems like they don’t make them like they used to. My parents fridge lasted them 35 years. No issues with there’s until end when their motor died.
Don’t recommend and won’t buy this brand again
