which for a bike that cost me almost $4000 i feel is unacceptable, Ive done 180kms so far, Bike ran well until it rained a little now the headlight turns on and off whenever, the auto lock symbol shows even when you have auto lock turned off so you need to restart the bike, sometimes it will still lock itself randomly which isn't fun when getting off a train and not expecting it. since getting a little wet a vibration started from the hub motor at low speeds. Bike has gotten dirty and I'm afraid to wash it, the front suspension is leaking fluid

Loved it to start with, got one for my wife, then disappointment – I purchased this bike nearly 2 years ago, great, easy to assemble and easy on the aging body. I had clocked up about 1000klm + . All of a sudden… Read more
after 15klm on a ride, it died, the battery was fully charged prior to the ride. Got home and recharged the battery, went for another ride and the same problem. I contacted Leitner and they gave me a list of things to look for and the conditions the bike was ridden under, I provided all the relevant and correct information, and the response I was given, that I would have to buy a new battery. This is a poor option as I am an aged pensioner and can't afford to keep buying batteries every 18 months. I purchased this bike on reliable recommendation from a relative who has had the same bike for 5 + years with no worries. In the end, Leitner agreed to give me a used battery FOC but I pay the postage, now this battery is failing. After doing some research, I find that ebike battery's should last 5 - 8 years depending on use. I don't think that I have over used my battery. I am not convinced that I have been well treated by Leitner, especially after all the referrals that I have give to people who have asked after the bike. Geoff. Geraldton. WA.

If you’re considering an e-bike, I cannot recommend Vamos highly enough. Absolute game changer.

after reading google reviews,my ebike was $ 2100 with samsung 20 amp hour battery included, another reason I bought this bike from Avocado is that they carry most parts for this bike including bigger batteries, anyways its not a bad bike, gets me up big hills no probs just using peddle assist 3 and that gets you around 25 klms speed limit,it is best to stick to the rules,it does have an offroad function but I have had no need to use that, even on hills,I like the design of the bike but a nice upgrade would be stainless steel spokes with semi- smooth tires, steers well and brakes well, comfortable seat, has very strong rear rack that can carry saddle bags, its an easy bike to ride and work out the functions it has, handles well,it does have some cheaper components on it like, chain, cassette, steel spokes and not the greatest tires but most ebikes at this price point are like this ,you can allways do a custom rebuild yourself and upgrade some things on this bike, motor and big 20 amp hour battery is very nice, sydney bicycle paths are awesome,no more traffic probs

upgrade the wheels. I always do that with any bike I buy. Note only bikes that come with wheels you wouldn't upgrade start around $14k. And paint quite nice - comments from bike stores it looks more expensive than it is. Finally, I had to replace chainring after I bent it when I didn't look where I was going and hit a pothole at serious speed and the chain looped itself before getting seriously wedged in the crank - not the bike's fault - damn council I say. Yexin didn't do what most stores seem to do and say just look on line. He got me replacement I needed without hesitation and had it sent asap - nicely packaged - because he understood my point that I know the original spec will fit. Thanks Yexin! Recommend a factory 7 as a perfect city bike.

bike are the rough and clicky gears from the onset (apparently need to be tuned often) and how unsteady it is with any weight in the basket. I put a child seat on the back and it wants to fall over constantly, and has done a few times with said child in the seat.

had any battery issues but today, something went awfully wrong with the pedals and cadence sensor or front sprocket. Probably not the cadence sensor, as I could pedal and that generates the electrical power, but there was no actual pedal thrust or torque, so I had to rely entirely on the electrical power to move me along. Have yet to pull it apart to see what broke.

experienced a single issue, the only maintenance items being one set of new brake pads and chain lubricant. This bike has been ridden extensively over dirt roads and twice been caught in torrential rain and still functions perfectly. Battery has also degraded very little over the 2 years, with the maximum range I have achieved being 55km with 90% eco/10% max power split. The built in wheel lock allows me to feel more comfortable leaving it outside of shops, although I still use a chain lock for added security. It is a $2500+ package for the price of $1500 (now $1800). Service provided by Dirodi before and after purchase with my queries was exceptional. Highly recommend this bike for anyone looking for a nice looking, comfortable, decently priced e-bike.
Ouch! If I put a drink bottle on this step through – Bought a step though second had and like it so far. When I put a Biden on, my crouch hits the carrier, not great for a male or female, I am the latter. What other carriers do you have available for this model? Show details

review of what I see as the pros &cons of these machines. The Ultimate range of bikes come in three styles, Step-though, Semi Step-through and Step-over. They are driven by a 250W motor in the rear wheel coupled to a 10 aH, 36 V Samsung lithium battery mounted internally within the frame. There are 5 power settings available from the selector on the handlebars. The 7 speed Shimano Tourney gears with a single chain ring is fine when you have power to assist. They run 700c wheels fitted with Tecktro disc brakes. The biggest ‘pro’ by far is the cost! At around $1500, it is far below the mean for comparable bikes. At 17kg, weight is also a plus (especially when it requires lifting onto a car rack). Cons are, it comes in a box and needs assembly (not difficult) and it does not have mounting for water bottles, pumps etc. The Tecktro brakes, although efficient can be very noisy. The worst problem is the supplied controller/readout is FAR TOO SMALL TO BE USED EFFICIENTLY. However, for around $100, a much larger unit can be purchased from Leitner that we have all found to be highly beneficial, even close to mandatory. In summary, these cycles are good value for money, but like all things you get the components that you pay for. I am sure that you can find brilliant e-bikes with top equipment fitted if you want to pay for it, but for the price these bikes I find are satisfactory for Cynthia and my use. Dave
