than renew! Repairman said it very common with this frig. So just hope the replacement (similar) model will last longer than 6 years. prior to it failing the performance was ok, keeping drinks quite cool was the main function.

as the labour cost are huge, so effectively you are forced to by a new fridge. The Westinghouse/Electrolux customer service I experienced was the worst I have ever dealt with. Terrible communication and zero empathy. I will never buy Westinghouse or Electrolux again as they belong to the same group and are useless. The products cost a lot and don't last. Not long before my fridge died, my Electrolux microwave died just outside of warranty and I had the replace that too. Clearly they are not making anything to last anymore. All I can say is stay away from Westinghouse and Electrolux!

This one is more superior in design, functionality and appearance, just hope it matches the life expectancy of my old fridge.

get rid of it. The freezer draws have completely disintegrated and constantly drop everything on the floor every time It’s opened. Perhaps an example of the lowest cost cheap plastic materials and fittings that seem to be used throughout. size space for me as a single person, would also be ok for a small family. There are only a few issues i had which is why i did not give 5 stars. Firstly it is quite noisy, i haven't found it unbearable like some people have said, but its definitely noticeable. Eg if i am standing in the kitchen only about 8 meters away i can't hear the TV when if it starts on one of its cycles, i have to turn the TV up to a much louder level. The second thing is the ice tray, in the last 6mths it has started to get a strong smell about it, almost like a gas smell. I have tried washing it & it has not helped, so if i will have to buy a replacement which costs $44. And thirdly, the temperature control slides are not really located in a convenient space, but that is probably the case with alot of fridges. This is a discontinued model but if you're looking to buy it second hand take these things into consideration & ask for a bargain price.

confirming average temp > 7° C. Manufacturer said they would fix but give it was less than 2 weeks old I asked for a replacement. The replacement is now (in fridge) freezing goods at -10° C despite being set at 3. The local repair person has been good. frosty/ icy. Then it would melted and leak into the two snack draws below. Then the fridge would beep saying HI temp and we couldn’t work out why. Then water would leak down from the ice dispenser and leak all of the floor. During these changes there was also strange noises coming from the fan motor at the back of the fridge. Seemed like something was stuck in the blade. Called Westinghouse tech and nothing could be booked for months; so we called a refrigerator mechanic to check it out. He removed the back panel of fridge where fan sat and saw it has frozen over, caused the fan to stop working and cooling the fridge. worked reasonably for 6 months then same problem has occurred x3 times over next 2 years (roughly 6 months apart)

This fridge freezer is meant to be a frost free and goes through automatic defrost . It’s so frustrating. Had to get rid of so much food on several occasions. Fruit and veg freezes and then it spoils. Who else has had this issue? What else can we do besides getting it serviced every 6 months?

Aren’t these fridges meant to last at least 10 + years. Seems like they don’t make them like they used to. My parents fridge lasted them 35 years. No issues with there’s until end when their motor died.

I phoned customer service and they were absolutely no help at all, we had our previous fridge for 16 years and it did not develop any problems. Technicians have pointed out the problem and 9 months later still chasing for the repair. Fridge is still leaking and Electrolux is still sending technicians, yet still no repair. Kitchen floor is now damaged from all the leaks. Terrible company to deal with. Doors are not aligned which makes opening and closing function feel flimsy. The fridge makes a loud running noise every few nights. DO NOT BUY!

brand. We let the fridge sit for 24 hours before turning it on after putting it in place, giving it time any for gases or oil to settle in the compressor. I was told that these potentially get moved around during transportation (especially if the fridge had to be carted horizontally to get it through a door frame, or similar) and that if the liquids/gases are not settled in the compressor, and the fridge is turned on too quickly thereafter, this can lead to damage to the fridge / compressor and possible the noise issues that people have been raising here. The fridge is as quiet as the old one.

before that we were happy with that was also a French Door design. I really like the middle draw, which can be used as a fridge or freezer. I've use it once to change from fridge temp to a freezer temp when entertaining, was easy to do and worked really well. Love there are no door handles that stick out in this model, the doors are handleless and instead built in to the door. This gives the fridge a modern minimalistic appearance. Very happy with it so far.

service number it goes to a company called Doug Smith Spares and all they wish to do is sell you parts. When I finally got someone on the phone they say the warranty has expired ( of course it has ). I asked for some trouble shooting and Westinghouse said they dont have any technicians to do that. There are better companies offering far better service. Look elsewhere.

Westinghouse/Electrolux (same company) for repairs TEN TIMES, I've had TWO TECHNICIANS visit, I've raised a NSW Fair Trading case and I STILL DO NOT HAVE A WORKING REFRIGERATOR. What's worse, Electrolux are denying my ACCC consumer law right to a refund when an appliance has "major failure" with an "unreasonable resolution timeframe".

Avoid this fridge and this company at all costs. Not only do reviews prove their products are inferior, but their customer support doesnt care about you or your rights either.

the cold air from the freezer compartment at bottom to the main compartment of the unit. A serviceman has changed the fan under warranty thankyou, but still the same - constant air noise sound. Its been in two homes now size wise and still the same. We were told basically to live with it. The best part of this fridge is when you open the door because this will stop the fan and brings a welcome relief. As other folks have mentioned main freezer drawer is poorly made and never slid without catching. Gave Westinghouse opportunity to respond but not interested. Never again, very disappointed, pay a reasonable price you expect better.

same problem. I emailed Electrolux customer care on Thursday, and a repair guy came on Monday. He cleaned it up with "De-solv-it" and put some clear sealer on the seam. Hopefully that stops or lessens the problem. Poor design by Westinghouse, but good job by the Electrolux service people. Not often do you get such quick action. No charge to me. 5 stars for Electrolux service, 1 star for Westinghouse fridge.
