When lying on the mattress, it sinks significantly under body weight, creating a noticeable “valley” effect that makes it difficult to maintain proper spinal alignment. After several weeks of use, I began experiencing ongoing back discomfort and disrupted sleep. The mattress feels unstable and does not provide the level of support reasonably expected from a relatively new product.

* The mattress has always been used with a waterproof protector. * It has been placed on a suitable, supportive base. * There is no visible damage — the issue occurs only during normal use.

In short, the problem is functional rather than cosmetic: the mattress rebounds when unloaded but performs poorly when actually slept on.

I contacted customer support explaining the situation in detail. While responses were polite, the assessment focused strictly on warranty requirements requiring at least 20mm of *visible sagging measured without weight* on the mattress.

Because the mattress regains its shape when not in use, it does not show this level of permanent indentation, even though excessive sinking occurs during sleep — which is when support actually matters.

I was asked to unzip the mattress, remove internal foam layers, and provide staged measurement photos. Despite explaining that the issue relates to performance during normal use, the discussion remained limited to whether a measurable visual dip existed under warranty terms.

Australian Consumer Law Concerns

I raised that my concern relates to consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law, which require products to be of acceptable quality and fit for purpose — meaning they should function as a reasonable consumer would expect during normal use.

My request was not unreasonable; I asked whether a practical resolution such as an exchange, store credit, or return (even with applicable fees) could be considered. However, the company maintained that assessment could only occur under warranty criteria tied to visible sagging measurements, rather than considering usability or performance concerns.

This distinction was frustrating, as consumer guarantees operate independently of a manufacturer’s warranty and are intended to address situations where a product does not perform as expected even without visible structural defects.

Overall Experience

The experience felt procedural rather than solution-focused. A mattress can appear visually compliant while still failing to provide adequate support during sleep, and this practical reality did not seem to be meaningfully considered during the process.

70Kg in weight), the area of the mattress with the most weight (where the butt lies) was compressed. I started the warranty claim process, which was tedious. I had to demonstrate that I wasn't trying to scam the company, and it led me to write a strong review about the customer service. I had to demonstrate that the mattress failed (photos, videos, weights over the different areas to see the weak ones, after many messages with the evidence, they finally agreed to send me a new one under warranty in 2022, I erase the bad review.. In 2024 I began again to have troubles with my back and this 2026 it made crisis. I wrote to the company again and, since I could not remember all this process (I am 81), I gave them the present address, which does not correspond with the first delivery or the replacement. Unfortunately, when you rent, most likely after a few years the landlord sells and you have to vacate. The fact of the matter is that after that last email I sent, I was completely ignored, so my only tool is this review to warn others. For me it is absolutely obvious that I received a non-advertised "seconds" the first time, hence the offer, and as usually happens, when you claim in warranty, most of the time you receive a "seconds".

firm mattress which was not firm. The ergoflex is not exactly your typical 'firm' mattress but instantly cocoons the back and I got pressure relief instantly. My back took a while to settle but no back pain now and I get pain after a few nights on a different mattress. The only thing I did not like was that it comes with instructions warning warranty void with electrical blankets and that it is not recommended (which was not present on their website). However the owner reached out to say when used correctly, this is not the case and they have been trying to remove the instructions. No sagging so far.

Unfortunately they paid the refund back to the original account without asking me, and that account is closed. Emma has been stuffing me around for months, making me spend hours on hold to both them and the bank, and are completely refusing to call the bank's merchant support line, which they (the bank) have said multiple times would allow them to resolve the issue. Emma has insisted on requiring written proof from the bank which the bank has stated multiple times they cannot give to me, and Emma is refusing to call them. At this point I am having to go to the ACCC to get my money back.

then said a delivery of about a week, which is still fine. After the initial confirmation of purchase I did not hear from anyone, the week expected delivery time came and went. I sent an email and they relied saying they would ask their shipping partner to provide an ETA, or I could contact them myself. I didn't hear anything for about another week, then sent them a msg asking to cancel the order and refund my money - mostly as there was no communication as to what was happening. They then replied saying the mattress had arrived in their warehouse and they would start the dispatch. It eventually arrived a month after the order and payment was made.

If I had know the timeframe for delivery, I would have purchased elsewhere.

In short, good product, poor service.
