He spends a lot of time understanding your requirements and providing multiple options for refinancing your loans that benefit you so you can pay lower interest and get the maximum tax benefit. He proactively approaches you if there is a better loan option and cashback provided by some banks, and helps you refinance your loan to get maximum benefit. I have refinanced my loan on my property a couple of times in the last 5 years and have got thousands of dollars in cashback and very good interest rates. Once you have decided on the bank, Joe comes in and helps you get all the documents in order and works with the bank to make the entire process seamless. I had to only review and sign the documents. The rest was handled by Joe. Both of them have been wonderful brokers, and I have recommended them to my friends.

questioning whether Athena is still the right choice.

I have a prepaid amount with Athena that is more than sufficient to cover the $2,200 I needed to withdraw. While overseas, I attempted to process the transaction through the app but repeatedly received an error message saying the transaction could not be processed and advising me to call.

When I contacted Athena, I was told that they were aware this message often appears when customers are travelling and that the transaction could be processed on my behalf. This then required me to go through an extensive security verification process — something that would likely not have been necessary if the app had worked as it should.

At the end of the call, I was advised that processing could take one to two days. Unfortunately, I needed access to the funds that day to avoid incurring a significant bank fee, so this delay was very frustrating.

A digital banking experience should be reliable, especially when customers are overseas and may need access to their own money. I hope Athena addresses this issue, as the service experience I received does not align with the level of convenience and efficiency I originally expected from them.
