work unsupervised - Avoid at all costs.
They sold me a 10kW system, only for me to find out after it was bolted to my house that it was throttled to 5kW. That’s a massive drop in performance that wasn't explained to me upfront.
To make things worse, the installation was a disaster. The sealants on my roof were a mess - I'm talking bird feathers and debris mixed in (see photos) - which led to water leaking into my house and damaging the ceiling. Then they sent the same unsupervised subbie back to 'fix the job' who lied to me about how he had conducted the work and had actually just gooped shitloads of silicone over the top of the dek tites, solargain then went into bat that it had been repaired.
It felt like an unsupervised crew just rushed the job, no safe systems of work, no fall protection very poor quality workmanship resulting in property damage.
It took months of back-and-forth and a lot of stress to get any acknowledgment. We’ve finally settled things commercially so I can hire a local solar installer to fix their mess and get the power output up to 10kw, but I’d never use them again.
If you’re looking at solar go with a local provider who installs it themselves, make sure they are not using a sub contractor and check the system and the roof penetrations before you pay them

Solar Battery Group.
My mother originally paid a deposit for a 5kw battery for her existing 10-year-old 1.5 kW solar array and began the wait for installation. After a couple of months, my mother was contacted again by the Solar Battery Group to say that they could speed up installation if she moved up to purchasing a 10kw battery installation. She was assured that her existing 1.5kw solar array could charge the 10kw battery - this is coercion used to close a bumped up sale to an elderly woman who did not fully understand the details of solar arrays and batteries.
Added to this, her 1.5kw system could never have charged a 10kw system when calculated with usage data based on industry standard calculations. Especially given that her system is 10 years old, so running at a loss of 10% efficiency due to age. This begins to look like a lie told to convince my mother to spend more with Solar Battery Group and demonstrates that the Solar Battery Group deliberately sold my mother a product that is not fit for purpose.
I have tried contacting the company to resolve the issue three times over 2 months with 2 different staff members. They have not returned my calls.
I have now lodged a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading.
I would suggest avoiding this company for anything solar-related based on my experiences.

also did a lot of warranty work for cyanergy to see if he could find the problem as water had seeped through into our lounge room ceiling and also stained the roof. This was reported to cyanergy with photos as proof of what had happened. This was a warranty claim and the plumbing bill should have been paid by cyanergy. They have given me the run around and not don anything about this claim. The plumbing company have now handed the account over to a debt collector and as it is in our name has given us a bad credit rating. I paid the bill in full on Friday as had received another email and the bill from plumbing company. I got on to Midea air conditioning and they advised Yassin from cyanergy to get in touch with me and get this sorted out, but all to no avail. I have reported this to VEU and ESS of Victoria who are now dealing with this claim. Cyanergy do not answer my calls or emails so I have been left with no alternative than to start legal proceedings agains them. They were great for a start but customer support is non existant and I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone getting anything done through them. They take your money on the day the job is completed and from there on NOTHING. THIS IS THE WORST COMPAY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. ANYONE THINKING OF USING THEM, PLEASE THINK AGAIN AS ONCE THE JOB IS DONE THAT IS IT, YOU CANNOT GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM AS THEY DO NOT ANSWER YOUR EMAILS OR TELEPHONE CALLS OR MESSAGES. THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY AND THEIR AFTER SERVICE AND SUPPORT IS NON EXISTING.

four months to actually get it working. The whole time they promised “compensation” and told us not to worry. Upon actually getting the system working, they applied a $100 credit and told us the case was closed. Then two weeks later they cancelled our payment plan for non payment, because they’d failed to pause the payment plan while they repaired the system. Then they sent it to collections.
Amongst all this, there were dozens of repetitive emails, asking for the same details over and over, because they never entered anything into the system properly. They have probably cost us a full working week on the phone and emailing them, trying to fix their stuff ups.
Utterly rotten and incompetent to the core. DO NOT BUY SOLAR FROM ORIGIN.

after-sales support is a standout—my installer was instrumental in configuring the Time of Use (TOU) settings for my GloBird plan.
While the app’s UI feels a bit dated, it is a highly functional tool for monitoring. The financial impact has been immediate: my monthly electricity bill dropped from approximately $400 to a $2 credit. It’s still early days regarding long-term reliability, but the initial experience has been very positive.
I noticed some comments regarding quality concerns, which made me a bit nervous. Even though it’s rated IP66, I’ve done my best to install it in a safe spot protected from the sun and rain. I’m looking after it like a prized possession to ensure it stays in top shape.
I wish this system run well in next 10 years since it's a big investment for me.
