have a wash load in progress. It washes efficiently on general loads, beautifully on delicate, has a fast wash when I need it, but its greatest asset is how thoroughly it cleans. This was exemplified just this weekend when I washed my cotton bed blanket, which has had a yellow stain from years of use on the white blanket, from natural oils from hands. I now have a pristine white blanket again. Fabulous!

It is quite a basic dishwasher, but performs very well. I noticed at first the racks are different to all other dishwashers I’ve ever owned, but… Read more

once I figured out which dishes could fit where, I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile they are! My favourite part has become the little removable plastic divider in the upper rack, because food containers fit in there very well. When the wine glass stem holders are folded out, they keep containers and plastic cups secured underneath. None of the lower racks are foldable, but have wide enough gaps to fit saucepans and frying pans.

There’s only 4 cycles on this thing, which are selected by turning a knob. There is a time remaining display with delay start and “Speed Perfect” buttons, which shorten the times a little on Pots & Pans, Auto and Eco in much the same way my last dishwasher did on “half load” setting. Express can’t be used with Speed Perfect, but that cycle only goes for 30 minutes, while cutting out the drying part completely. I can’t even remember the last time I had to run something through again, it does a really good job cleaning dishes on all cycles! Filter is easy to remove and clean. Can't be paused mid-cycle, but does pick up where it left off if you turn off via power button, open the door then turn it back on again, or if the power goes out momentarily.

Rinse aid dispenser can’t be manually adjusted, and it does drink quite a bit, so I always make sure to have some on hand. I can only assume it automatically adjusts dose, because I live in a hard water area but don’t get streaks on the dishes like I used to. Sliding tablet dispenser door isn't very durable though, about 18 months in, the spring and seal popped out, but was pretty easy to put back together myself.

After advising Bosch, all we get is argumentative email exchanges with an overseas service centre outside of local hours.

So dissapointing for a mid-level appliance trumpeting German components. We should have just bought something Chinese for alot less, or a proper premium brand and spent some more money.

No more Bosch products. Don't waste your money!

Purchased a bosch clothes washer and dryer in July 2025. Good if you have a small laundry as dryer stacks on top of washer. Both are working fine but… Read more

the washer started leaking.

I called Bosch who were going to come out to service but due to the policy of the dryer being stacked on top of the washer which needs to be removed they don't do that cause of OH&S issues so they will pass the job onto a preferred repairer being EPL Appliance Repairers.

EPL came out on 17 March 2026 and said there's a cracked part (detergent dispenser) which they need to order and takes 3-5 days.

I didn't hear back from EPL so I messaged them on 23 March 2026. Jaison from EPL wrote back stating "2 parts have been ordered but I'm afraid Bosch hasn't given us an ETA .... we will follow them up today".

I followed up again by sms to Jaison on 25 March 2026 but didn't hear back so called EPL on this same day and spoke to Diana and explained the situation in detail but she transferred me to Jaison where the call cut off.

I was quite mad at this stage and tried several times to call back EPL but the phone dial didn't ring through.

Therefore, as you can see the post warranty service for Bosch is not the best. I decided to directly call Bosch on 30 April 2026 on 1300369744 and spoke to Jannah who was very very helpful and understanding of my situation.

It's been a month and a half since EPL came out and I have to continuously chase this job up. EPL then puts the blame on Bosch for not giving them an ETA for the part.

Jannah said leave it to her and she will call me back with the update. It's ironic after I ended the call with Jannah she called back in 15 mins to state its been all sorted by EPL they will come out to do the job asap.

On the same day 30 April 2026, EPL called at 8.30pm at night but I missed the call. They then called again in 10mins time and we spoke. They really wanted to come out and get the job done asap so an appt was booked for the next day 1 May 2026 for Sam to do the job.

On 1 May 2026 Sam came out to do the job but surprising he asked me to help him carry the dryer off the washer. I thought this was the sole reason why Bosch didn't do the job themselves for OH&S ratings for their staff. Well Bosch what about my OH&S you know how heavy the dryer is? I was also asked by Sam to help him carry the dryer back on top of the washer. I hate to say this but I will as I have Sam a chance to redeem himself but when he had finished and asked me to help carry the dryer I said the absorbtion mat under the washing machine is not straight. The right corner was sticking out by 5-7cms and the machine had been moved out too far so the dryer door couldn't open. I said i will help but shouldn't you leave the premises ie Bosch setup the way you found it. Sam said he would but can't lift by himself and Bosch doesn't pay them to do it. I told Sam that's not what Bosch told me. Anyway, sorry for the long review but be careful of the Bosch washing and drying machines BUT be wary of the post warranty service its not good.

in Auto and Turbo modes it seems to require strong pushing(?). Only used it a few times and very pleased with the ergonomics and LIGHTER weight of this little stick vacuum. [ In comparison- the DYSON Gen5 Detect is noticably heavier and I became quite tired using the Dyson just on hard floor. But Dyson power-head was easier to use on carpet.]

In agreement with other reviewers, I found the Bosch light feature to be surprisingly useful! I actually enjoy using this vac (yikes)! Features I like: Lightweight!; Cordfree convenience (as opposed to my marvellous Miele barrel vac, which requires plugging and unplugging in various rooms); Reasonable power; Good on hard floors; Self stand-up rod; Ability to swap batteries while one is charging(actually only had to do so once); the easy detach-by-foot powerhead; the furniture hook; Bagless (no shopping and buying bag$!). The dustbin is simple to clean and the clever filter shouldn't need replacing for many years. I have little Bosch Unltd 7 (2 battery version) in the laundry, hanging on its furniture hook, plugged into a nearby PowerPoint- very easy :) Its tools are kept in a basket inside the laundry cupboard. I'm more impressed than I anticipated with this, my first stick vac, and certainly recommend it. I would definitely buy it again.

Purchased a Bosch Series 8 heat pump tumble dryer, after doing a lot of research. One of the main reasons we picked this brand and model was due to… Read more

it's reverse cycle ability during drying bed sheets etc, which means it is supposed tumble for a while in one direction, then reverse and tumble in the opposite direction. This stops the sheets etc from ending up in a small ball if continuous in one direction only. Well... what a stupid waste of computer programming. On that cycle, it rotates about 20 times in one direction, then about half a drum turn in the opposite direction only. This means every time we try to dry bed sheets, they ALWAYS end up in a ball, not dried. Contacted Bosch (within the first few weeks of buying the machine). They didn't know what we were talking about. They said they would get someone from Bosch to ring. That was more than a month ago. Have given up trying to get a response or service call. Don't waste your time and money on this machine. After sales service is crap

and dries better too (including plastics). The only downside compared to a dual DishDrawer is that when a cycle is running, there’s nowhere to put dirty dishes. But in every other way, this Bosch is a huge improvement. What really surprised me is that one Bosch cycle uses about the same water and energy as a single DishDrawer, yet it holds around 2.5x more and cost about $1,000 less. I nearly didn’t buy it because of some of the negative Series 6 reviews online. Very glad I did.

On a serious note; the washing machine handles all types of material really well at a desired temperature, which is ideal for delicates. The cycle times are shorter and very good too.

What I like about it is that it has no hot water inlet to be connected to, only a cold water inlet. This is because the machine heats the water to your desired temperature. Hugely beneficial to lower your hot water bills and have less of an impact on the environment.

years and have always loved them, so I replaced my last one with another Bosch - big mistake! I want my old dishwasher back. Here are the problems: 1. You practically have to break your finger to push the button hard enough for it to register that it’s been pressed, as the buttons do not depress they’re just meant to be touch sensitive. 2. The new cutlery drawer is useless but luckily you can remove it and throw it away. The problem is that if you use the cutlery drawer there’s not enough room on the regular top row for tall glasses or drink bottles. 3. The sections in the cutlery basket are much smaller because they have to go over the prongs as there’s no dedicated cutlery basket area any more, so the walls in the cutlery basket are so wide the pockets that the cutlery sits in are much smaller, for example, I can’t fit the immersion blender bottom in the cutlery basket any more. 4. The dishes seem to come out much wetter than my old machine, even after selecting the “extra dry” function

Very versatile drill press for lightweight use – I bought this from Amazon Nov 2022 and have been using for several months. I make small items of wooden furniture. Pros: 1) variable speed - very… Read more

easy to change the speed for various size drill bits, particularly for Forstner bits or hole-saws 2) The table height is the same regardless of the size of piece you're working on. This drill is very easy to change the height of the pillar compared to changing the height of the table in a conventional drill press. 3) Electronic depth gauge. Most depth gauges on conventional drill presses are inaccurate and hard to read. This solves both those problems. It also has the added benefit that it can be zeroed. So need to subtract one depth from the initial height. Just press the 'zero' function when the drill is at the right height, and measure from there. 4) Depth stop gauge - for repeated holes drilled to depth (eg dowel holes), this allows you to concentrate on the drilling process, rather than eyeing the depth gauge. 5) No steel -> no rust. I understand that steel is a machine surface and is dimensionally stable, but it means you've constantly got to maintain the work surface. This drill has an aluminium base, which is also much lighter. 6) Large drill stroke (90mm) for a drill this size. 7) Lightweight, easy to move around

Cons 1) The wheel handle is not very intuitive to use. 2) This drill is for lightweight use. I've used it hole-saws and the pillar tends to wobble back and forth. So for heavy duty work, this is probably not ideal. 3) Is a bit louder. It contains a universal motor, which allows the variation in speed, which is a bit louder than typical induction motors on machinery.

I haven't had any problems with accuracy such as those mentioned in other reviews. I've only had it a few months though, so time will tell.

Overall, very happy with it and glad to see the end of my old 5-speed drill press.

We acquired five esteemed Bosch kitchen appliances for my newly established kitchen, including a Steam Combi Oven, a Pyrolytic Oven, a Built-In… Read more

Coffee Machine, and two Warming Drawers. Of these items, the only one that functions correctly is the warming drawers; though we seldom use one, we hold it in high regard. The oven, mainly its steam function, has seen minimal usage. The coffee machine we utilise daily was the first to exhibit a touchscreen malfunction and was subsequently replaced under warranty. I was dissatisfied with paying an additional $800 to account for the price difference, as the original unit was no longer available, resulting in a disjointed colour scheme. Nevertheless, I am grateful to have my cherished coffee machine operational again. The second item that experienced a failure was the touchscreen of the Combi Oven. It was repaired under warranty just before the expiration of that warranty; despite my questions about what seemed to be a common issue with the touchscreens, I was assured it would work perfectly. Regrettably, shortly thereafter, it malfunctioned again, restricting our usage to only a few options as one side of the touchscreen became unresponsive. The Concierge Gold Service denied my claim, stating that the warranty had lapsed. Furthermore, our pyrolytic oven's touchscreen has failed, making it inoperable and now out of warranty. All five items were purchased on November 6, 2018, and I find it profoundly disappointing and distressing that they have not operated correctly for a minimum of ten years. The reason we chose Bosch was for the said quality and engineering. It is alarming that three of the highly rated, German-engineered Bosch units we acquired have all malfunctioned similarly; why has a known product recall not been initiated? Would someone be able to help us?

We purchased a Bosch Serie|6 9kg Heat Pump dryer (Model WQG24200AU) from Harvey Norman in Wairau Park, Auckland in mid-2023. We weren’t happy with… Read more

the dryer from the beginning. It took a very long time to dry any kind of load and trying to get sheets dry was a real mission. The sheets would roll up into a tight roll like a rolled up sleeping bag and be still damp in the middle of the roll when the cycle ended. To get them dry it was necessary to unroll them once or twice during the cycle. We discovered that this occurred because the dryer didn’t have a “drum reverse” and the drum always rotated in the same direction.

We contacted Bosch about the problems and they suggested several things to try. We tried them all with no success.

We complained to Bosch and they referred us to Harvey Norman, the retailer where we had purchased the dryer. Harvey Norman refused to do anything about it.

Then we saw the dryer mentioned in the Consumer NZ “Yeah Nah Awards”, the “Avoid At All Costs Award” and the “8 of the worst products on our website”. We checked online and found many reviews of that model of Bosch dryer complaining about the problem of trying to get sheets dry.

We approached Harvey Norman again with no success. So we filed a claim with the Disputes Tribunal (referencing the Consumer NZ articles).

With the Consumer NZ articles as evidence, the Disputes Tribunal found that the dryer “is not of acceptable quality” (as required by the Consumer Guarantees Act) and awarded us a full refund of the cost of the dryer, the delivery charge, the stacking kit and the installation charge and ordered Harvey Norman to uplift the dryer at no cost to us.

Thanks to Consumer NZ for doing the testing and providing us with enough ammunition to get our money back.

unit rather than the glowing red/ electric, and nothing like solid hotplates. I can control temperatures better than gas and it will slow cook very well. I reheat frozen/ leftovers on this rather than microwave. AND cleaning is so easy- just wipe the flat glass sheet (no knobs). Nothing burns into the surface as it doesnt get hot enough (heat is in pan).

May not be suitable for a large family, as it really only has 3 cooking zones but the wattage of the unit meant I didnt have to rewire an older stove power circuit.

Heats cookware rapidly and is easy to control- simple to use (some can be nightmares to operate).
