no issues placing the order. The order took a fair while to be made and dispatched, which I was prepared to accept. No tracking number was provided, only a notification saying the order was “in transit”. Emailed a question regarding installation during this time and received no response. Blinds eventually arrived, but despite the box having my name and address on it, the blinds inside were someone else’s. The sizes and room names didn’t match my order. Immediately tried calling customer service, only to be met with an AI assistant. Asking to speak to an operator sent me to voicemail. Left a voicemail and received no call back. Numerous further calls also went unanswered. Eventually received a call and was told my order had been sent to another customer and I had received theirs. I was asked to leave the incorrect blinds outside for collection the following day. Two days later, the incorrect blinds are still sitting outside my house and my actual order is still nowhere to be seen. Tried calling again and got the same AI assistant and voicemail. Still no call back. Eventually received an email saying they would follow up with the delivery driver and get back to me. I’m still waiting.

The biggest issue here isn't even that the wrong order was delivered — mistakes happen. It’s the complete lack of customer service when trying to get the problem resolved.

Trying to speak to an actual person is unnecessarily difficult, phone calls aren't returned, emails aren't answered and I'm left with another customer's blinds sitting outside my house while I have no idea where my own order is.

I’ve ordered blinds from other online blind retailers before and had significantly better experiences when it came to communication and customer service.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend DIY Blinds. The website and pricing may be good, but if something goes wrong with your order, actually getting someone to help you seems to be a completely different story.

Our home that has the first lot we purchased 6 years ago are still all in working order and have not faded or broken. We didn’t feel stranded or restricted to the website as the number that was provided actually had a real person answer and helped with any questions we had. Great value and highly recommend. blinds on my veranda. After looking around, I concluded that the Windmaster outdoor roller blind from Half Price Blinds seemed like a good option since I was comfortable installing it myself. I ordered only one to test it before ordering the remaining blinds, especially as each one is over two metres wide and quite expensive.

I measured and ordered online; the process was good. The blind finally arrived, but it was delivered when I wasn't home. When I arrived home the box had some damage and upon opening I found the backing plate was slightly damaged. I fully understand that the delivery company's actions are outside of Half Price Blinds' control.I accepted the minor damage and proceeded with the installation.

I soon discovered that the mechanism was placed on the wrong side, contrary to my order. I was unable to reverse the mechanism because the screws were too tight. The other side bracket was poorly fitted and the screw hole had been enlarged and a washer was placed to try and fix it, but it was still not straight. Yes I should have sent the whole thing back and that was my mistake.

After fixing the bracket, I discovered that the roller blind was set for the mechanism as per my order so now it could not be fitted. I ended up reversing the blind on the roller to make it work.

The quality control appears to be nonexistent with this company. Furthermore, the rubber seal under the blind base plate was too long and caught during use, so I had to cut it. The locking mechanism screws supplied were too short and unusable.

It probably took nearly three hours to install and now that it's up it seems good.

I emailed Half Price Blinds six weeks ago, which they acknowledged, and I was told they would forward my concerns to the relevant product managers. I heard nothing further.

Their total lack of interest left me looking at alternative products for the remaining three blinds. I went with another well known brand and had the blinds professionally fitted. I did a price comparison and it did cost me 10% more; however, the whole process was much quicker, required less effort on my part and the blinds are so much better.

I would not recommend the Windmaster product to anyone and clearly Half Price Blinds is not a company I would order from again. I'm thinking of replacing the Windmaster Blind as the other ones I purchased look so much better.

Great for smaller orders. Website also glitched a lot while ordering the large order which made me feel distrust around the order going through ok. I noticed measurement change when about to check out at one point. Triple checked everything again on 3rd time of check out. Seemed to be ok, but in the end 2 blinds arrived short by half length.
