even though it was coming to NZ from Australia. I was thrilled! But to my shock horror, they had sent me the wrong phone. It was the correct model but the wrong colour. I had also ordered a near perfect model, but the one I recieved had quite a lot of cosmetic damage. It took a LOT of effort to get in touch with the customer service team. Eventually they offered me the choice of a very small partial refund for the difference in price, or to send it back for the one I had ordered. I decided to just take the refund as sending it back was a massive inconvenience at the time. The phone for the most part has been awesome. However I did notice that in the settings the battery and the camera were not recognised as genuine apple parts. 6 months later the battery has completely shat itself. I got in touch with their customer service team as this would be covered under the warranty. They emailed me a return label. I asked if instead I could get the repair done in NZ and have them reimburse me. They said their warranty only applied to in house repairs, which I thought was fair enough. I ultimately decided to get the repair done through an accredited apple provider instead because I had no doubt in my mind that they hadn’t used real parts. Instead of waiting weeks for my phone back, I paid a small fee for a battery replacement and got my phone back at the end of the day.
All in all, the phone is okay. Their customer service is okay. I have bought better quality refurbished items from other companies before with much better luck, but if you don’t care too much about quality then these guys are good. They will do the repairs if things go wrong, but ultimately, you need to be aware of the inconvenience of having to ship the phone back to them, as opposed to dropping it off to a service provider and having it back at the end of the day.

After the repair, I experienced a fingerprint sensor calibration issue (which can happen with newer ultrasonic sensors), and Vivian went above and beyond to help troubleshoot it with me, responding quickly, offering clear guidance, and genuinely caring about getting it resolved properly.
The repair itself was excellent, communication was prompt, and the whole experience felt honest and customer-focused rather than rushed. Thanks to Vivian’s support, everything is now working perfectly and we didn’t even need to use a 2nd replacement screen that she had ordered just in case.
It’s rare to find a repair shop that combines technical skill with great customer service like this. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Vivian and the team at Dr Boom to anyone needing phone repairs.

before sending because they had no covers and eventually sent just the phone. The phone had a faulty battery and was sent back and they said yes it's got a faulty battery. Why was it sent out? They had no same model replacements and I eventually said yes to a lower spec phone. This arrived and I plugged it in and it wouldn't charge. I advised them and they said send it back, they received the phone, didn't test it, didn't contact me and sent it back to me. I was surprised to receive the phone with no communication and plugged it in and guess what, it didn't charge. (Ffs) I contacted them, they said send it back. They received the phone, (tracking) and nothing for a fortnight then late on a Friday afternoon their manager [Name Removed] phones me and said yes it had a faulty charging port. (Duh) and I said considering the crap customer treatment so far I do not want anything more to do with phonebot and will take my money back and we go our separate ways. He agreed to this and would process my refund and apologised for their handling of the situation. This was early January, so 5 months after I had purchased from them they agree to return my money. But wait there is more. They have in fact not returned my money yet and I am still waiting for the amount I paid to be reimbursed. They will not answer my phone calls my text messages and emails are all ignored. This company is full of liars and are very sad and pathetic individuals. I told them want a refund. They said ok, hv to wait for financial department to process it. I wait for 2 weeks, but no response. I ask them they reply need to still wait for refund processing. So I wait n wait, no response. I emailed them, dis time there’s no feedback at all. It’s been 3 months now. It’s a scam, they take ur money. The purchase included a cable and charger, and was very well packed in a box which was inside a bubble wrap envelope.
Outstanding value for money. Recycle, repurpose, and save a tonne of money! And I almost forgot, it arrived in 2 days.

ordered two items. The checkout did mention lead times on those items. One shipped in 1-3 days and the other in 1-2 weeks. I paid for expedited delivery, which I think any reasonable person would assume would result in the first item, with its 1-3 days shipping time, to be sent within that shipping time... instead they lumped them both together and now I have to wait two weeks for something I reasonably expected to be put into the post ASAP having paid $22 for the privilege.
Instead of trying to resolve the matter, [Name Removed] from customer service basically replied, "LOL :)" and that was that. Good job, [Name Removed]. Just casually out there impacting businesses with crazy levels of bad customer service.
No matter. It was only a $2,000 order with a vendor I was told offered good service.

Toshiba HDDs a few days after getting Hdds. On opening box noted all HDD enclosures damaged. 2 of them the metal enclosures had dents, 1 the part for the PCB board was cracked and bent. All 3 returned to Umart in store and asked for a refund. Told they had to send it back to manufacturer for assessment and would take up to 3-4 weeks . What assessment exactly I'm not sure? Poor packaging has lead to damage somewhere in transit which is obviously the case seeing how all 3 drives came out of the box damaged. 2-3 weeks after returning I get an email saying it is manufacturer and they are still assessing. What are they assessing exactly? I should not have to accept any sort of damage small or big to a brand new product I paid for. Called Umart after 3 weeks and was told they had no further updates. Requested refund was told we will put it into file...
Called Umart again today. Once again told at manufacturers with no updates. Asked for refund again once again told it would be put into my file. I was willing to wait for a while but now after more than a month since my warranty return I still have no Hdds, no refund, no idea when I might hear back from them. It is not my problem that the Hdds arrived damaged that should be an issue with Umart and delivery company(I'm sure they have insurance) or the manufacturer. I've asked for some sort of response by today which I'm sure won't happen.
Don't buy from this company if you expect any customer service when it comes to warranty related claims. This seems to a constant theme with Umart if you look at the reviews. They even had to put out and official statement on their webpage for clarification of warranty handling because of some bad press.
ACCC complaint to be lodged shortly. Seems like a fairly common thing for Umart just looking through some of the reviews.

Perth, the delivery times were atrocious, 14 days for an AVR and 18 days for speakers that were not delivered when promised though they were personally delivered by an employee on a sunday which was nice I guess. It all stems from there being no little local stock, relying on the East for supply which is typical. Happy with the product so far though, very happy. Ended up paying $3050 for an Onkyo tx-nr6100, a Polk es30, a pair of es20, es10 and OWM3.
I've played Hogwarts Legacy using through the system, using THX mode with dts 48/192khz, 7.1, truly wonderful.

never anyones fault. It's how any situation is handled that define who they are, and in this case, required the one star review.
Just rude and unpleasant to deal with. Lovely to deal with when everything is going well, but it is how people handle situations when things are not going well that define them, and these people just didn't handle it well for me, one star.
I would love to think everyone just got out on the wrong side of the bed and it rolled into a bad day. But it left a bad taste in my mouth and had me being rude right back. I don't like being rude and found myself mirroring their behaviour. Ultimately I was being someone I am not while interacting with them. I decided it was better for me to walk away.
I put this here in the hope that core-electronics will improve. They certainly have a lot of 5 star reviews with comments like goods arrived promptly or arrived as per the description. If I didn't care I would walk away and never say anything. I have connections to Townsville so I have always paid the little bit more and enjoyed knowing I was supporting the community. Hopefully you do better next time.
