value for money. Instead, after my advertisement went live, I received virtually no enquiries, no serious interest, and no meaningful results despite paying what I consider to be an excessively expensive advertising fee.

To make matters worse, I initially received an Instant Offer for my vehicle, only to have the offer reduced by $3,000 after their review process. It felt misleading and frustrating to be presented with one figure and then have it substantially lowered later.

In the end, I sold my car quickly through Facebook Marketplace, which was completely free to advertise on and generated far more interest than Carsales ever did.

When I contacted Carsales to request a refund due to the poor outcome and lack of value provided, I was simply told that the advertising fees are non-refundable regardless of whether the vehicle sells or not. Paying a premium fee and receiving little to no benefit is extremely frustrating.

Based on my experience, Carsales offers poor value for private sellers. I spent a considerable amount of money, received almost no return, and ultimately had to use another platform to successfully sell my vehicle. I cannot recommend Carsales to anyone looking to sell a car privately. Save your money, list your vehicle on Facebook Marketplace, and avoid the disappointment.

Pricing program, expecting transparent and predictable servicing costs. Unfortunately, this latest service raised serious concerns about pricing transparency and customer service. The labour charge excluding GST increased from AUD 144 last year to AUD 368 this year, despite the same replacement parts being used. The vehicle was serviced from approximately 8:38am to 9:30am — less than one hour — making the labour cost extremely difficult to justify. Before payment, I first asked the service manager for clarification regarding the large increase in cost. The response I received was simply that “Hyundai dictates the price.” When I continued asking for a proper explanation, I was told that oil prices had increased. However, after reviewing the invoice, the oil and parts pricing were essentially the same as last year. The significant increase was clearly in labour costs, not parts or oil. Unfortunately, the same dismissive attitude continued at the front desk, where I again received no transparent explanation for the charges. I understand prices can increase over time, but customers deserve honesty, transparency, and respectful communication — especially when questioned about substantial cost increases that appear inconsistent with previous services. This experience left me feeling overcharged and poorly treated as a loyal customer.

Great wipers work excellent and streak free. Would recommend them to anyone.
