asked to withdraw my accounts credit in April only to get responses of the following. "Why do you want a cheque for? A direct deposit is much faster" I know from experience last year it is not faster. They will want a whole heap of things then reject it because they can while claiming account security. The emails form 2026 saying the 2025 process made out that I just didn't understand it correctly. They would request a bank notice I would supply it be told it's been approved for 48-72 hours later yeah no. Not enough evidence that the bank account was mine. When saying I am closing the account as I am moving to a new provider as I no longer trust or like them. I get sent "how to disconnect your service when moving house" instructions. Which was requesting a disconnection date allowing someone to come out and lock the meter.
I keep getting sent follow up emails that are just strange to say the least. Did you know if you take out your accounts credit you have to start paying them again? They needed to inform me that.
After I replied to the last one saying how useless they are and 'I am now with AGL.' "Thanks very much for confirming. Upon checking your account, I can see that the refund was processed last March, so you should have received it by now." So I have received my credit before I even asked for it? I asked in April and only got confirmation of it being approved last week. Process was contact them in April get run around by the next person who would just repeat the previous persons email arguing again bank deposits are much faster. Submit a mid bill sign up to AGL wait several weeks for a account to move. Then get sent a bill which was instantly paid due to the account credit. Then wait 2 more weeks while being asked things like does your bank still accept cheques? I had to make an account at another bank last year when you flat out refused to do the direct deposit. Which is why I kept it open as I suspected they would do the same thing this year.

So you hang on the line and leave a message and they don’t call you back. The one time I did get through was when on my invoice they stated I could get a cheaper plan. The gentleman said that they couldn’t do it at the moment but that someone would call me back! Guess what?!! Avoid if you want service. I have DODO for gas and they were able to do the same thing within minutes.

confirmed installation date.
The sales and quoting stage was responsive, but once the contract and finance were approved, communication dropped off badly. I have had to chase repeatedly for basic updates and clarity on what is happening.
The installation itself has not happened yet, so I cannot comment on workmanship, punctuality or handover. That is part of the issue, after almost four months, I am still waiting to be told when the system will actually be installed.

power bills and gas bills at a Post office.. it's totally outrageous with today's global climate and the cost of living More cost to families. To avoid those charges bills can be paid online.. BUT An elderly person doesn't have a computer or internet and most likely doesn't know how to use a computer the only thing that a elderly person has is their pension which they withdraw from a Bank and pay their bills at a Post office which is convenient for them.. Not only the elderly person but there are many young families and people that can't afford to have the internet or computer and simply make their bills payments at a Post office.. With today's global climate and the cost of living its SIMPLY outrageous for ALINTA ENERGY to add more cost to a person's utility's . The Best thing to do is shop around for another provider.

What the email conveniently left out is that EnergyAustralia offers far cheaper rates to new customers for the exact same electricity. They notified me of the hike but not of the better deal sitting right there on their own website. So I compared. Not only are their new-customer rates well below what I'm being charged — after this increase, my rate is the highest I can find anywhere in the market. Competitors are charging close to half at peak. This isn't a cost-driven rise either: NSW benchmark prices actually fell this July. This is the textbook "loyalty tax": lure people in, quietly ratchet up their rates betting they won't check, and keep the cheaper deals for new sign-ups while existing customers foot the bill. Emailing me about the increase while staying silent on the better rate makes it worse — it's not an oversight, it's the business model. No proactive offer to move me to their best plan. Just a higher bill and the hope I wouldn't look. I looked. I'm switching. If you're an existing EnergyAustralia customer, compare their new-customer rates — and the wider market — against your own bill before you do anything else. You're very likely paying a premium for being loyal.

Switched account to Lumo through Econnex. Nearly 2 weeks later and no introductory email or other confirmation from Lumo. Contacted Econnex who confirmed account had been referred. Contacted Lumo to confirm they had received the application and were working on it. Account was applied for in my partner's name who is now in hospital. When I advised Lumo I didnt' hold power of attorney they refused to confirm that an info pack had been sent to the application email (which I have access to). They refused to confirm that there were no delays in their processing of any new account applications. They refused to use any of the strategies available to them to reassure me that the account application was being properly dealt with. Eventual "helpful" advice is that lumo may take 10-15 business days to contact new account applicants, to advise them their application had been received. Not accepted, but simply received!!. Other similar businesses have responded within 48 hours. At no time did I ask for any confidential or private information... I just wanted to know if their system was operating properly. After nearly 1 hour, and 4 escalations from asian call centre, the final words were .... would you care to fill in a customer feedback survey? I said yes please.... response was a click as the call ended. Thanks Dillon, ??, ?? and Nina. Lucky I wasn't trying to deal with some dodgy foreign owned operation eh?

service team was extremely knowledgeable on energy efficient homes and were very quick to respond to our questions as to what kit to buy. The kits were in pristine condition when they arrived and were an absolute breeze to fit using the online instructional videos. We barely had to use our heater at all after fitting them, we were able to turn our heat off before lunch an not turn it in again until the following morning. The price we paid for ecoMaster products was quickly made back from our reduced energy bill. Thanks ecoMaster for keeping us warm and saving us money. 6/5 rating, would highly recommend all of ecoMaster Products to anyone will fat power Bills
