asking to reschedule. We have 2 little ones, one in primary and other in daycare. Everything has been set in place already including cleaners coming in the next day, used time off work for the move. We already disassembled all the items at home and even moved pretty much everything ourselves, besides the big stuff that doesn’t fit a car. Now we’re worried that we are left stranded with no place to stay overnight.

And how did CBD movers responded to this? “We understand “ & “We’re going to make sure it’s hassle free for you and your family”.

Ridiculous, we don’t even know where we are going to sleep tonight. They said they will try to send someone even if its late let’s see how it goes. I will definitely be sending them bills for a hotel, the cleaner rebooking fee, overlapping rent costs etc….. if it doesn’t happen today

Save yourself the hassle and avoid them at all cost.

*Update* Rescheduled for 7-9 first pick-up Movers came 10:30am the next day and has demanded for me to pay an extra $100 to move because of stairs, when the company already have already included extra $60 for them. As soon as I called the company they ran away and left in a heart beat.

We are moving the contents of our 3 bedroom house interstate. We had 3 boxes, for our minimal contents. From the first call to taxi box to the multiple calls regarding queries and changes we had they have been accommodating, helpful and patient.

they turn it away, saying it was not expected. One department has no clue what another department is doing. Give one quote for the size and then they double it when finally they receive the goods one month on. Spread your goods into 2 containers when it is well under the size for one. Two years of stress with just one thing after another. Just when you think one problem is solved, another one crops up. If you want a company that is stress free. Stay away from this one. Upon arrival, the team damaged our letterbox. Despite multiple attempts to contact the office to report this issue and seek assistance, our calls were not returned, which was extremely disappointing.

The issues continued throughout the move. A second truck also arrived an hour late, further delaying the process. We observed multiple instances of careless handling of our belongings, including boxes clearly marked “fragile” being dropped from the upper level of our home to the lower level, even after being spoken to about the lack of respect of our belonging. Items were transported down the driveway on a dolly in a reckless manner, with no apparent regard for their condition.

There also appeared to be no sense of urgency or awareness of the time-sensitive nature of our settlement. Toward the end of the move, items were simply being stuffed into the truck rather than packed with appropriate care and attention.

At the new property, the lack of care continued. Our belongings were placed arbitrarily despite clear verbal instructions, creating unnecessary stress and disorganisation. Most concerningly, my husband’s desk was completely broken during the move along with a variety of other items being damaged and broken beoynd repair.

Brisk Transport are now refusing to acknowledge any of our complaints, despite multiple attempts to contact them.

Overall, the service fell well below reasonable expectations and caused significant inconvenience, stress, and damage to our property. We will never use this company again.

for a quote, received a rate, paid a deposit, and then got a confirmation email with a higher rate. When I questioned it, they sent the original quote again — only to call the next day and say, “Oops, it’s actually a different rate,” but hey, they’d knock off $5 as a “favour.” How generous.

This kind of chaotic admin — or let’s be honest, shady bait-and-switch tactics — made it impossible to trust them. We cancelled the booking, but even that was a saga of multiple emails. And the kicker? They refused to refund the deposit, citing an admin fee. Apparently, I was paying for the same incompetence that made me cancel in the first place.

Later I found out they’ve got a warning from Consumer Affairs Victoria for unethical practices. Wish I’d checked sooner. Lesson learned: steer clear unless you enjoy paying for confusion and dishonesty.

one truck load pick up and delivery to my home address, the removalists refused to go back and finish the move that day, but promised they would be at the pick up address at 7am the next day to complete the move. I made the BIG mistake of paying them for that day's work as I trusted them to go back the next day as arranged. Well, they didn't turn up the next day and I made numerous phone calls to different Movee phone numbers over the following 2 - 3 hours with no response. The pick up address was getting angrier and angrier with me as they were leaving for overseas the following day and the furniture had to be gone that day. I was forced to book another removalist at an exorbitant fee ($2,500 for 3 hours work) as it was a Sunday and a last minute booking. I was so distressed that I actually experienced the first panic attack in my life. Not only this, but there was damage to the lift and walls at the pick up address and damage to the furniture and walls at my end. The only recompense I later received was the $60 booking fee. complete home and workshop interstate from Qld to Tas is a nightmare and we had to juggle load size and several times we had to add or subtract an item or two, but Katrina made the various adjustments, so that part of our move it was basically a stress free time. Shipping availability caused delivery to be a couple of days late, but we were updated along the way, so were ready when the truck arrived at the renewed time. 100% happy with the whole operation.

very professional and I had a good experience. So I didn’t have any hesitation to choose CityMove again in 2020 when I planned to move. However, I had a terrible experience this time. My booking of arrival time is 8:00am~9:00am, but no one turned up till 9:30am, so I called -- it seems they forgot to assign people for my booking. When the movers came late in the afternoon (after 1pm); they appears very tired, they told me they did 2 jobs already that's why they are exhausted. We were fine with this delay, but they were so careless with our furniture! The most horrible thing was that lots of our furniture was damaged. Including: - Our new Blackwood display cabinet, was scratched and with a hole! - Blackwood dinner table scratched; - TV unit scratched, and a piece of wood in one of the legs was chipped and gone; - Coffee table scratched; - 2 Wooden beds scratched. (I saw they had blankets/clothes in the truck, but they didn’t use them to protect my furniture. Even after I prompted them to be more careful. They still just roughly pushed the furniture into the truck.) I reported this to them on 17th Dec 2020, but no one replied me back.
