were never passed onto them. This meant an extra hour of time was added to my invoice as the movers did not know where they were going. The job was then not able to be completed without me paying the invoice- threatening to charge me more and not attempting to assist in the situation until I paid. for a quote, received a rate, paid a deposit, and then got a confirmation email with a higher rate. When I questioned it, they sent the original quote again — only to call the next day and say, “Oops, it’s actually a different rate,” but hey, they’d knock off $5 as a “favour.” How generous.

This kind of chaotic admin — or let’s be honest, shady bait-and-switch tactics — made it impossible to trust them. We cancelled the booking, but even that was a saga of multiple emails. And the kicker? They refused to refund the deposit, citing an admin fee. Apparently, I was paying for the same incompetence that made me cancel in the first place.

Later I found out they’ve got a warning from Consumer Affairs Victoria for unethical practices. Wish I’d checked sooner. Lesson learned: steer clear unless you enjoy paying for confusion and dishonesty.

careful with every item of our antique furniture and especially with the mirrors. They arrived on schedule at 8am then worked continuously until 11am and had a short break then filled the 12 ton truck by 1.00pm. They also moved the truck on 2 occasions to allow a neighbour to gain access to her property. At 11am Eddie realised that the truck was not big enough to take all our belongings and he organised a second truck to arrive at 1.40pm where Derek and another diligently picked up the mirrors and odds and ends for another hour and cleared our old house At the delivery end the guys positioned and reassembled the furniture over a 3 hour period and my wife and I were very well pleased with their effort. We would recommend Rocket Removals (who were recommended to us by our Real Estate Agent Morrison Kleeman) based on work effort, care, and safety in all their actions. Thanks guys you were great.

A special mention must go to Rafa, Pedro and Dris, who arrived punctually and demonstrated outstanding care, precision and attention to detail throughout the move. Every item was meticulously wrapped, protected and handled with genuine respect. Nothing was too much trouble.

failed to pay me or any of my offsiders for the work we carried out. They were rude and demanding very pushy to complete the job, yet failed to pay the people who did the work.

I strongly advise other drivers to think twice before working with this company. I would not recommend them and would never work with them again.

after I paid my deposit to “book.” After I spent hours following up, they sent a booking confirmation by email even though I had already asked not to proceed with their service. I am still waiting for my refund. Poor communication and terrible service.

arrival….they finally arrived at around midday after me calling them to find out where they were. Logistics problem. Bear in mind it was a wet day. I had everything boxed that could be. Dismantled one of the 2 beds for them. The guys were nice enough, but on reflection , they were not careful at all. No blue wraps were used. They only wrapped the tv unit and side board in plastic. Nothing to protect mattresses which , on arrrival at the new home, were both filthy and had some mould from , I’m assuming, getting wet. Both leather sofas received damage to the leather area and the legs. Both were muddy in places. Several broken glasses. Scuff and chip marks on a $400 tall vase that was well wrapped in bubble wrap . Dirt and scuff marks on a $650 piece of canvas art. Canvas based beige linen shoe box is filthy . Definitely got wet. Several boxes clearly crushed. My new build home has a gash mark near the entrance which must have been hit by furniture. They nearly left without putting the beds back together. which I had specifically requested. “ no one told us we had to “ Washer wasn’t hooked back up.

I won’t go into the call I got on the drive up to Qld asking if they could leave the furniture somewhere as they needed the truck back by 7 am in Brisbane. We hadn’t settled on the property so couldn’t do much. I had made it perfectly clear that there was no access before the settlement date. Only one of the original guys was there with another local person. Overall , I can’t say I would recommend them.

with their arms along counters and shelves just toppling/shoving stuff into boxes. Broke and spilt innumerable things. I complained, they rang the manager who then came and verbally threatened me. They were time based so were caught sitting in the truck outside the new house just 'sitting about.' 'Forgot' about my garage contents and my plants which my elderly parents moved for me. Threatened me for extra payments as an elderly single woman on my own at night while I was being sworn at by one of the workman in a language I understand. I was so frightened. Boxes from their packing not named/labelled at all (over 50 boxes) which led to a fun 'mystery box' situation where my necessary bathroom supplies not located until 2 weeks later. The single most horrible experience I have ever had. When I went to complain, the manager threatened me and said that they secretly video taped me. I now have the strength to go to Consumer Affairs. Took me a long time to get over this. I have photo upon photo of spilt/damaged items just shoved into boxes along with witnesses as to their 'packing' and 'we forgot' items. Go with a reputable mover please. The owner of the business just abuses you if you have a complaint, especially if you are a woman.

all a few boxes didn’t turn up.

The box which is the most important was full of my husbands clothes including all of his suits and tuxedos. Sadly in the same box was also his late father’s suits and jackets which understandably hold a lot of sentimental value. We also got a box of clothes that does not belong to us. So my thought is someone must have our box.

The truck said they went to Melbourne before Sydney.

So what I’m asking is if anyone knows anyone who recently moved from Perth to Melbourne or Sydney and may have used a removalist company and may have got delivered our boxes.

We’ve called the company many times with no help the stuff was picked up in Perth 24th August and delivered to Sydney 24th September.

very professional and I had a good experience. So I didn’t have any hesitation to choose CityMove again in 2020 when I planned to move. However, I had a terrible experience this time. My booking of arrival time is 8:00am~9:00am, but no one turned up till 9:30am, so I called -- it seems they forgot to assign people for my booking. When the movers came late in the afternoon (after 1pm); they appears very tired, they told me they did 2 jobs already that's why they are exhausted. We were fine with this delay, but they were so careless with our furniture! The most horrible thing was that lots of our furniture was damaged. Including: - Our new Blackwood display cabinet, was scratched and with a hole! - Blackwood dinner table scratched; - TV unit scratched, and a piece of wood in one of the legs was chipped and gone; - Coffee table scratched; - 2 Wooden beds scratched. (I saw they had blankets/clothes in the truck, but they didn’t use them to protect my furniture. Even after I prompted them to be more careful. They still just roughly pushed the furniture into the truck.) I reported this to them on 17th Dec 2020, but no one replied me back.

Very satisfied with the service. The team was very efficient, friendly and extremely obliging. Very competitive price.
