I was able to speak to a Customer Support representative very quickly, who promptly reassured me that my children and I would be taken care of financially in respect of booking a new transfer to our initial destination. The claim form was incredibly straightforward and within 72 hours I received an email confirming our claim was accepted and would be paid in full. I have previously used Allianz, and while their service was superb, Southern Cross outperformed them by providing such a speedy resolution and straightforward claim process. I love the fact there is a zero excess option also. No one ever wants to be in a position where travel plans are disrupted, but it's very reassuring to know you're with a travel insurance company that's there to support you. We were travelling from Iceland to Greenland when the plane aborted due to technical issues.

The claim was for a connecting ferry in Greenland, and the transfer to it (via a small boat). Total claim was $2634.10.

I logged in to extend online, and it said, sorry this function is temporarily out of function, I called, but no one working weekends. The $140 I was paying a month cover covers random stuff that you don’t use. It’s an absolute scam. I called BUPA and now I pay $50 a month and up to $700 remaining and an option to go to their preferred dentist with no gap to pay. Do your research before using see u hbf.
