something on. Nope, it's a major pipe leak from the hot water system. I stop the leak, turn the gas heater off, leave the swampy pathway littered with leaves and mud. I call Hilton Plumbing/Tradies and within minutes a job is booked, within 1/2 hour a workman or workwoman arrives . The job is repaired within a few hours and the other little dripping taps and laundry hoses are also bundled in to the job. Yep, the job is perfectly completed, the pressure tested, the place cleaned up the taps free of brown water...Then I ask Brad, how did you like the coffee I made you? With a smile and a good vibe the job is done. The bill is miniscule considering the urgency and number of little jobs in the deal. I'm so in love with Hilton Plumbing. They are my comfortable, handy service people I can count on.

metropolitan told me it was a major job and they need to access in through the wall behind the kitchen, remove ensuite tiles to fix. Called in another company who fixed it in under 2 hours from the kitchen side and cost me $350 in total. If it was that easy why didn’t metropolitan fixed in when they attended site???? I have attached the original review and the new repair that Eire plumbing fixed for a third of the price. Metropolitan you should be so ashamed of your lack of customer service and over the top pricing. Absolute money grabbing rip off artists. They should be shut down.

We sought advice and assistance from the Conciliation and Trader Intervention | Consumer Protection Division. However, after seven months, they were unable to engage with URECO. the price kept climbing. Suddenly it was $545 to $995 for leak detection, and I ended up paying $620 for roughly ten minutes of actual work.

He talked up special rented equipment to find the leak underground. What he actually walked back from the van was a small handheld thermal camera. He pointed it at the ground near my back door, found the spot in about two minutes, and that was it.

Then came the real shock. To fix the leak he quoted me between $2,400 and $3,900. I asked if that was a week of work. He said half a day to a full day. For that money.

I refused and called another plumber. He did the entire job, detection and repair, in two hours for under $500. Same leak. Same result. A fraction of the price.

Charging $620 to wave a thermal camera around for ten minutes, then quoting nearly $4,000 for a half day job, is daylight robbery. Get a second quote before you let Plumbdog anywhere near your home.

Punctual, knowledgeable, friendly, informative, had all the right equipment to find the problem with my storm drains. Gave fixed quotes would highly recommend.

I declined the vanity repair and subsequently had the leak fixed which required the replacing a simple sealing ring for under $100. I requested an explanation of the pricing, but the response did not address my concerns. As an NDIS participant on a limited budget, clear, transparent pricing and good value are particularly important to me. Based on my experience, I recommend obtaining several detailed fixed-price quotes before committing to plumbing work.
