issue and they push back HARD even when its a build problem. 4 days after handover i saw the pump and pit pumping more water into my front yard then the street as it should be. As the wrong lid was used or its not fit for purpose. Send it on the portal to get looked taken two weeka and three follow ups and then get told the water is a landscaping issue and they checked the design and its correct. I then send the design plans and the lid specs only then do they say have forward it to the plumber and SS to review and will get back to me. Not good enough why do I need to go back and push to specs for then to do something after they are given the cheque.

managed initially by the pre-construction team and which led to delays based on bad advice provided for retaining walls. Once that was sorted (5 months later), the ground works commenced on the build. Throughout the build, we were not contacted regularly and we had to chase them for information about progress. We were advised by the builder that frame stage was complete and to send the payment through. We had it inspected and there were incomplete bolts, missing strapping, no tie-downs which were all needed to comply with the HIA contract. This delayed the project another month while waiting for them to complete it properly. We had numerous issues onsite as the house was built and assurances that everything would be made good in the end, however this was not our experience on a number of factors and even after 12months post-construction we still had outstanding issues unresolved and a QBCC direction to rectify notice to the builder. The house took 2.5 years to build from when we put the deposit down (very slow contract development period - allow 5-6 months). We had waterproofing fail in our bed 2 ensuite which impacted the ensuite, adjoining bedroom and downstairs garage. The trades they sent out to fix issues were inexperienced and often caused more damage than they fixed. Communication or lack thereof was probably the number one disappointment factor and tarnished the whole experience. I would not trust them to build another house for us and would try to find a more reputable builder with their own trades on the books. To their credit, eventually we had most of the issues resolved, but it took a long time and multiple attempts to get things sorted. Had the house been built in good time and communication was regular (every week to 2 weeks), we probably would have been a bit happier. But as it was, it seemed like they weren't interested in our problems and that just creates a whole lot of anxiety when your whole life's savings are going into a project. Glad it's over now.

Jim Talevski the Maintenance & Warranty Supervisor, attended our home, Jim was fantastic and took the time to explain the rectification process and followed through on all aspects rectifications. I will comment that rectifications were minor, which shows the quality of the build is exceptional. All the trades that attended to undertake the rectifications were timely, polite and clean.

presented with build costs that were approximately $500,000 higher than what had originally been discussed with us. We were asking about pricing every single meeting, as we didn’t want to waste our time or money on something that wouldn’t eventuate.

When we received the quote, the project immediately became unaffordable for our family.

Since then, we have spent months attempting to resolve the matter directly and through lawyers, with no response. When we told them we have to pull out, we were told the deposit was non-refundable, but they will hold our money for a future build project… how does that help us?

We are now thousands of dollars out of pocket with nothing to show for it except stress, frustration and an incredibly disappointing experience.

Anyone considering this builder, please obtain independent legal advice and detailed written costings before signing contracts or paying deposits. Don’t trust the friendly smiles and ‘can do’ attitude!

With a small deposit, our selections appointments were done. We were impressed by the inclusions available; we chose the Diamond package. Montgomery provided information for the knockdown process and site prep and once that was done, and building commenced, our site supervisor, Aiden, provided weekly updates with photos. He was also invaluable with minor issues arising throughout the build.
