We signed our contract in September 2025 and received the keys to our beautiful new home in October 2026. From the beginning through to handover, the entire process was well managed, and we couldn't be happier with the experience.

The biggest highlight of our journey was undoubtedly our exceptional Site Supervisor, Zaid Loraichi.

It is rare to come across someone who combines professionalism, genuine care, honesty, integrity and dedication to their work as naturally as Zaid does.

From the moment he took responsibility for our build, Zaid gave us complete confidence that our home was in the best possible hands. He was always approachable, friendly, considerate, patient and, above all, genuinely committed to delivering a quality home.

What truly set Zaid apart was his outstanding communication. Almost every week, without us having to chase him, he kept us informed of the construction progress through messages, photographs and regular updates. This transparency meant so much to us, especially during a process where homeowners can often feel anxious or uncertain about what is happening on-site.

Zaid was proactive, responsive and always willing to answer our questions. He never made us feel that our concerns were too small or unimportant. He listened, explained things clearly and made sure we felt comfortable and informed throughout the journey.

His commitment to quality was equally impressive. He paid attention to the details, maintained high standards and made sure the work was completed properly, without compromising on quality. He took genuine ownership of the project and treated our home with the care and responsibility we would expect from someone building their own.

Another remarkable aspect was his ability to keep the project on schedule. Despite the complexities that can come with building a new home, Zaid ensured that construction progressed efficiently and that our home was delivered on time, without unnecessary delays.

What we appreciated most, however, was not just his technical knowledge or project management skills, but the kind of person he is. Zaid is genuinely honest, trustworthy, respectful and thoughtful. His sincerity and dedication were evident in every interaction. He made what could have been a stressful experience feel reassuring and enjoyable.

We genuinely feel blessed and fortunate to have had Zaid as our Site Supervisor. He is an incredible asset to McDonald Jones Homes, and anyone fortunate enough to have him supervising their build is in exceptionally good hands.

delay due to oversight of land assessment. We're sold something that can't be built as they didn't factor in regulation or what neighbours will build. This caused us 2 months back and forth bordering on harrassment as we would receive multiple calls in a day to sign a PCV we didn't want to accept as first option presented to us would devalue the house by 70k. We consulted professional valuer who's kind enough to say we can withdraw from contract and demand payment from builder. When we didn't accept PCV and demanded cashback, they then said they have another option on design. We gave them a second chance after escalating to their GM. 2nd issue is when the project moved to customer rep who introduced himself as someone who's going to be out primary contact towards the build but given we pushed for our right to select our own surveyor so we can be protected on quality, when I asked them to forward the plans to our appointed surveyor they refused to do it even though they haven't credited us the build permit/surveyor fee. Such poor and stressful customer service!!! Causing us now further delay. Only thing we're holding on to now is hopefully the build quality will be good. I hope management sees this and train their employees better on customer management

Pete our site manager has been fantastic throughout the journey and any queries we had all explained carefully for us. We found him very polite and easy to deal with and at times, the care and workmanship he put into the home, feels like he is building his own home.

Compare to other home, Winchester 47 was on budget with other similar size home, however, we were lucky to have signed up during a promotion period which included most of the upgrades we required.
