lack of maintenance, no idea how a roof wears and tears or how to maintain an inner ceiling, when queried the best I got was "you're supposed to walk around the home once a year looking at the roof, if there's any screw popping, you need to get a contractor in to fix it" Completely ignoring the fact it was done poorly in the first place, even the finish on the roof from build is atrocious. Home assist wasn't very helpful, due to risk of collapse got a contractor in who stated "these trades building the homes get away with murder" (implying how bad the job was) 25 year warranty means nothing

Cole (Design & Sales Consultant) we felt guided with clear process, supported with "can do" attitude and stress-free approach. Design was done taking into consideration our needs and requirements with some very useful and practical suggestions from Rob. Prestart and Client Liaison team was no different. Danielle, Shannon and Chloe were very helpful and quick in their responses, which made the construction process smooth and effective. Once the construction started, Chris Bishop (Construction Supervisor) got involved with an amazing proactive approach, excellent communication and knowledgeable advice. brands for our residence, we were initially unsure about choosing Dreamstart Homes for our investment property in Lakelands. After visiting a few of their Display Homes, we were reassured by the quality and practical layouts, which made us confident the build would still meet the standard we were used to. Craig Poole was excellent from the start. He took the time to understand the purpose of our build and what we wanted to include. He then guided us toward choices that made sense for an investment property. His advice helped us balance livability and comfort for potential tenants, and durability and cost for us as investors. He was always friendly, open to ideas and quick to follow up on anything we raised. The Office teams were easy to deal with. They're friendly, responsive and great at keeping us updated. Our building supervisor, Lee, was also approachable and patient. He handled any small questions/requests along the way without any fuss. friendly, helpful and someone was always available to answer questions or give information. Once you are moved into into the house though, it's like that's job done they don't need to deal with you anymore. I have had some issues with my house, which is not entirely their fault, just bad luck and some faulty materials used. But the problem is, nobody wants to hear any of it. You call and "someone will get back to you" but nobody does. You email and "we've passed on your message to the relevant person" who you never hear from. I don't expect anyone to drop everything and fix my problems immediately, but waiting 6.. 12... 18.... and counting months with no progress at all and nobody to even acknowledge your problems will get resolved, meanwhile you live in a broken house. I would say it's very bad customer service, but more accurately non existent customer service.

design specifically for us that reflected every one of our requirements. It’s clear that a lot of care went into making sure the home suited the way we live. The pre-start staff were incredibly helpful, they supported my choices and gave me the guidance I needed to get the most beautiful result for my home, whilst staying within budget. The workmanship and build quality met and sometimes exceeded our expectations. Several trades really stood out, especially the tiling and plastering teams—their work is genuinely impressive, with a level of precision and finish that gives the home a polished, high‑quality feel. Our Housing administrator was approachable and always prompt in response to any concerns raised. We have built a home before, but we are not construction experts, so the recruitment of a building inspector was a very wise investment. We encountered a few minor issues during and after construction, which once identified by our building inspector were rectified without question. I’m sure this is normal for a project of this size, but having a document that records any deficiency or concern did prove to be invaluable. Each time, the company handled things professionally and ensured everything was resolved to a standard we were happy with. Their willingness to follow through made the process less stressful. The final cost aligned closely with the original estimate, and any variations were clearly communicated and easy to understand. That transparency made budgeting straightforward, with no nasty financials surprises at the end of our build. Overall, we’re extremely pleased with the outcome. The house was completed 15 months after slab down and I acknowledge we would have wanted it to be quicker, but the home we now have confirms that good things are worth waiting for. Our home is beautifully built, thoughtfully designed, and a perfect fit for our needs. We absolutely love it!

I was kept regularly updated with progress photos at every stage, and no question was ever too small or silly to get a clear answer. The pre-start process was also smooth and hassle-free. From foundation to lock-up, Status delivered at every step. Our building inspector was excellent, and because of all the horror stories out there, we also hired an independent inspector. Even they were impressed — they could barely find any issues, and the few defects noted were very minor and purely cosmetic. The only delay was about a month due to the terrible weather in August 2025, which was completely understandable. I’d much rather have a quality build that takes a little longer than a rushed, problematic one. PCI was a pleasure as well, and I’m now counting down the days until I get the keys to my very first home! A huge thank you to the entire Status team for such excellent work. Highly recommended!

previously designed and built 3 homes with designers and custom builders and done Major renovations on 2 other homes so we know the building process and challenges pretty well. So far we have been really impressed with the Country builders experience. Our design consultant was Andre Cater. We started with a plan that was remotely similar to what we were after and with Andre’s patient and very knowledgeable assistance we worked on customising the plan piece by piece both inside and out .We had many meetings , Andre had some great ideas and he came to our rural block to get a better understanding of the location and what we were looking to achieve. Changes were costed along the way so it made final decision making a lot easier. Communication throughout the process was excellent and always prompt. Prestart with Katie and Belynda was also a great experience. A great range of products to work with and open to lots of input and queries from us. Knowledge and attention to details were first class. If the build proceeds at the same standard we will be super impressed.
